Well if Kate wore something good once in a while then there probably wouldn't be such negative comments about her. It's also that she has no personal style, she dresses the way she thinks she needs to in order to win approval and the way her and her family carry themselves is just ridiculous. It's all so superficial and fake imo.

I agree with whoever said that Kate's style won't change now that she's engaged. She's been dressing this way for years just to get engaged, why change now? And I'm sure she got free stuff before and will continue to - she just has bad style and will continue to dress this way because she thinks it's classic and Sloane-y, when it's just frumpy and old looking. Though very soon we may see her as 'cutting edge' because fashion will come around full circle and Kate will still be wearing those terrible boots and skirts.

For those that find Kate's style "boring," what do you think would improve it? I honestly cannot see the future Queen of England going edgy. I loved the dress she wore at the engagement press conference. I think colors would help.

I loved the blue as well from the engagement press conference. It is forever ingrained in my brain.

I'd like to see her go in a Michelle Obama direction, sticking to not so many bright colors as M, and fitted dresses. Maybe not exactly like Obama, but I don't think I could see Kate pulling off pant suits regularly.

All the girl knows how to wear is tights and those horrible boots. If that qualifies you to have great style then Cher should also be on the top of the list. I hope her fashion advisers make her burn those things. I doubt we will see anything too spectacular, remember the firm isn't a flashy and glamorous house like Monaco. They want someone who "won't frighten the horses" if she follows the rules then she'll be boring. Maybe her and the Queen will get matching outfits.

I find it refreshing that she wears her clothes repeatedly. I've been wearing my Burberry for 20+ years, so we see eye to eye on that My habit of buying the best I could afford and wearing it forever was borne of necessity, so all the more charming that she could be doing something different, but doesn't. And I imagine there are more than a few people in her country who are making do & mending right now who appreciate it too ...
