OH NO!!

I just found some chipping on my key...
If it gets worse, I'll take it in to NM for repair.....still I really love my Whiskey Paddy, though. I have White Paddy on hold at NM, hope it's not going to chip....

From my experience if the hardware shows any signs of chipping/peeling, it only gets worse over time. My tan paddy started peeling within the first week of use! I returned it and got a whisky instead. The hardware on my whisky is perfect and I haven't had to baby it at all. I think the hardware is very hit or miss depending on the batches. They either peel or they don't. Thankfully Neiman's has a fantastic return policy. Nordstrom's in Valley Fair just got a shipment in today if you're interested (408) 248-2180. :flower:

My whiskey paddington is waiting for me in the store. Tomorrow it will be mine!!!! I'm so happy!! :woot: :woot:

If you go to South Coast, please let us know what colors they have now for their paddingtons. I called last week and they ran out but they're having new shipments coming in pretty soon they said. :woot:

I own the anthracite and the leather is extremely squishy - very soft.
I bought mine from net-a-porter. From some other's experiences with Bahrain, it is worth it to pay retail and be guarenteed a perfect bag, perfect customer service, and delivery to the US in 2 days. My paddy pic is attached.

Thank you for the picture! I have my heart set on anthracite but was worried that the leather would be stiff. Gorgeous bag, btw.

Paddingtons have arrived in Rotterdam in every shape and size and colour. This means they're on their way out,girls...

One good thing is that I've seen the whiskey in real life now,and while it is absolutely stunning,I am still happy I got the tan. It is a more unique Paddington colour.

^ they haven't arrived in norway yet  good thing for me! :D
for those remembering the peeling problem on my paddy, here's an update: I sent it back to NAP and I just got a mail saying my new bag is on its way as we speak!:woot:

Yay therese...so much bag heaven in a couple of weeks;can you stand it? . Hope the new bag is perfect!!

Thank you - I do like it; but, it is my weekend and evening bag only. Although I have been told it is not too "blingy" i just feel more comfortable with my Twiggy or Silverado while running errands, etc.

I would very much like to get another paddy one day that would be in my daily rotations, we'll see if they do anymore with silver hardware that are not metallics.

I will say, when you have the silver padlock you don't have to ever worry about peeling problems.

Some paddy sightings today...

NM BH had a grey-ish black paddy on display, the SA indicated that they "might" (trying to convince me to buy one) also have a "cream-ish" and "tan-ish" paddy (his words, sorry, don't know actual colors) in backstock.

Fred Segal Melrose had a whiskey bag (bowler or vanity type???) on the floor.

I love the silver hardware! And it's nice to know I won't have to worry about peeling. This will be my evening and weekend bag, also. But I certainly won't rule out carrying it during weekdays! I'm happy to know that yours is working out so well!

Three things since I haven't visited in awhile:

First, you evil girls posting pictures of your cream satchels! :) This color never thrilled me and all of a sudden I had to have it. Nordstrom in Valley Fair is shipping one out tomorrow and it is indeed more of a vanilla color than stark white according to the s/a. I returned my tan leather Silverado (which barely got any use) to defray the cost of the Paddy. No sales tax and waived shipping made it easy to purchase the cream and I don't own a bag in this color. Every s/a I have spoken to about it says the gold hardware looks amazing against the cream leather.

Second, I used my tan Paddington from the fall season for the past couple of days and the leather is indeed thicker and softer than my whiskey bag. It's not something you notice unless you really look though, at least for me. The new leather is still very nice, but it is a bit thinner than previous season bags. Even the s/a who sold me the cream mentioned the difference. He noticed it right away.

Third, the chocolate is still up for interpretation in terms of true color. One s/a said the new season chocolate is free of red undertone while another said there is definitely a reddish hue. Both s/a's work for Nordstrom but at different stores and both received the new shipment of Paddington bags today. I think color is dependent upon what each individual person sees when looking at the bag, and the lighting they are viewing it under.

Oh, and the only styles and colors Nordstrom has received so far (San Diego and San Jose) is the medium satchel in light blue (more greyish), cream, chocolate and whiskey.

I hope to have my cream by the end of next week. I'll post pics when it arrives! :) That makes four Paddingtons for me; too many, but they get so much wear. My other bags just sit and scream to get out of their dustbags.
