Eek, I also just received an ivory from NM.com. This one is also perfect, but the leather is smoother and less pebbled. I'm having a hard time deciding which to keep!
If I could figure out how to post photos I will do so and hopefully get your opinions. Can anyone kindly let me know the easest way to post pictures? Thank you!

StephBina: I loooove the pebbled one! I just got mine from NM today too, but in whiskey. The pebbling is just like the second pic. I didn't know NM had the ivory available for pre-order? I only saw anthracite and whisky. 
I already have a ivory-ish balenciaga bag though. Argh, your paddy is so gorgeous!

I have a really strange question about the lock just because I thought it looked a bit odd. If you look at the bottom of the lock where the key hole is located, there are two screws. On mine, there is one on the far edge and one sort of further in and close to the key hole. It makes more sense if the other one was on direct opposite side of it so it's symmetrical. Anyone else's lock look like this??

designme: Thank you! I think the pebbly one looks more traditional Paddy from what I can tell. It's nicely textured without looking like it's worn out, you know what I mean?
I ordered the ivory in December and I haven't seen it online since. I actually thought they cancelled my order (per my online acct) so I ordered one thru Nordstrom. Then lo and behold, they both arrive today. At least I get to pick the one I like the best to keep.

Blanc was on and off at NM site. I was checking NM site for a while, and when I finally decided to buy Blanc paddy, it was gone. I kept checking site for a week, and one day it appeared again as "in stock", I on-line chatted with a personnel to make sure the bag is not a return, and ordered it right away. I checked the site right after I bought it, and sure enough, Blanc was gone again. I'm assuming maybe someone pre-ordered the bag cancelled or something......

I ordered 2 bags from NM first, then cancelled them (or so I thought) and reordered whiskey and blanc from BG in order to not have to pay the tax. Well, I have 4 bags in my kitchen. 
Need to send 2 back to Neimans and decide whether I want to keep the whiskey or blanc, both of which are gorgeous!

Does anyone here live in Singapore? I sold a balenciaga bag on ebay to a buyer in singapore. She wants me to insure the bag for its full value - which I am willing to do - but I told her that this means Singapore will probably impose duties when the bag enters the country. Can someone please confirm that this is true? And if it is, do you know how much the duties are? Thanks in advance!!

I love the new blanc paddy I received - but I'm having a hard time justifying keeping it since I already have the original vanilla colored paddy (spring 05). I've posted pics of the color differences. The one thing I don't like about the original paddy is that I can't get the zippers to open at either end of the bag. The new bag has the wrapped lock.
Cougess - i don't know specifically about singapore but in canada, EVERYTHING coming into the country attracts taxes. One way to avoid this is to write "return to seller" on the package which implies it originated from Canada (therefore taxes already paid). No guarantee, of course, customs may still rummage around. Sorry not exactly what you're asking but may give you an idea at least.

Just want to share my excitement here...received my whiskey paddy from NM when i got home tonite! It's here a month earlier than anticipated. It's pebbly leather...need closer inspection tomorrow in the daylight with the lock etc. Will post pixs. I'm not used to the heaviness of the bag vs the b bags.

big.mui--i fell in love with the ivory first...now, i'm also on the fence whether i should return the whiskey and waitlist for the ivory. anyway, i need to see the color in daytime first to decide.
