(yes, , I got my paddy back!!)
I can't believe DHL. I've been waiting for my paddy since Thursday, stayed at home 2 days to wait - and just yesterday arranged with them to deliver it Friday as I couldn't stay home today or tomorrow - and then I get home now, and they had delivered it to my friend who I share apartment with. Lucky me she was home!!
It is really beautiful, even more than my old one - it has a lot more texture!

I don't know what's up with DHL today,but they were supposed to deliver a pair of black Chloe flats,and they didn't pitch and put a sign on the website that they'd been!!! There wasn't even a note in the box as always.
So I threw my toys and got them to come right back as I cannot stay away from work forever...and fortunately they came.So I'm excited too!!!

Yay Therese! It's been so long I forgot what color you purchased. Is it the blanc? Pics!! And here's hoping this one is free of defects in workmanship.

The more I look at my smoother whiskey bag compared to the more pebbly one I think more texture/pebbling suits the leather better. My smoother one is quite stiff. Perhaps it would soften over time, but I'm going to keep the more pebbled whiskey and return the smoother textured bag. The softness of the pebbling adds to the slouch effect. The smoother texture barely slouches, even with all my belongings inside.

It's a whiskey. The one I had was quite smooth, this one has a lot more texture so I'm really happy. It looks perfect! Will post pics within a couple of days!

big.mui--i do have a bal calcaire work, that satisfies my need for a light bag. i'm very careful with that bag so maybe getting the blanc, i might be way too paranoid.

URGENT HELP NEEDED!:
Does anybody knowto get rid of stains from a paddington blanc/off white?

Does the stain look permanent? What side of the bag did you get the stain on? I'd like to hear a solution as well...I'm new to Chloe and patiently waiting to get my 1st paddy in light blue color.

I'd like to ask Chloe owners how the paddy leather ages? Does it get darker with time? TIA!

I have a Whiskey Paddy, which I LOVE to death, since I love this bag so much, I bought another Paddy in Blanc, which I received a couple days ago. I do love the color on Blanc and how it's textured and all, I'm not sure if it's really a good idea for me to keep it. I have White Balenciaga, which got really dirty so I don't really use it much, and am afraid same will happen to my Blanc Paddy......in this case, I may well be better off buying another bag, like classic Chanel Bag in funky colors like Red or Pink (I don't have neither colored bags) But I don't know, I like the shape of Paddy a lot, and color of Blanc is so unique and gorgeous, too. It's a extremely hard decision for me.

Long story short, my question is, should I keep Blanc Paddy, when I have Whiskey paddy, which I LOVE the most, or should I return it and buy a smaller Chanel bag??? (Or you can tell me to keep Blanc and buy Chanel too, for a good reason )

My paddy is softer with age. It slouches more. I think it's much nicer with time. I can't really tell you if it darkens because mine is the khaki color. It's dark to begin with.

Cream: Craie or Blanc?

Hi! I'm a newbie here and have been lurking through this long thread. I apologize if it is answered in this thread but I couldn't find it.

I recently ordered the Paddington from Neiman Marcus in Cream, however when I received it last weekend the card states Blanc. It's a lovely color but was hoping that the color would be warmer and yellowier. I've read that there is a Craie color for A/W 2005, and was wondering . How is Craie compared to Blanc in color, and is there a difference in the edge color? Is the Craie still available for waitlist/purchase?

In addition, the Blanc I received has a scratch on the padlock, and am sad to hear that others have experienced the same.

I have a creme bowler and I've been able to keep it pretty much clean, it's in very good condition. I'd recommend apple leather rain guarde and condionter.

I'd still get a chanel though. I'm often tempted to get a second paddington, but I'm not a strong believer of several paddingtons, one is enough I think. A chanel would add more variety, and it's so pretty and timeless

I'm new to the Chloe Paddington, but not new to pre-orders and waitlists
But, since I'm a Chloe newbie, could someone please tell me how to go about securing one of the new light blue Paddies? I see pre-ordering for other colors on the NM website, but I see the blue is already available on net-a-porter. Will this become more easily available in the US soon or should I buy from NAP? I know our local NM has the anthracite on display, available for purchase, so I'm confused as to whether these bags are really that hard to get or not??

btw i should clarify - i did this in a private sale (not from a store) and it worked! no taxes!

Cougess - i don't know specifically about singapore but in canada, EVERYTHING coming into the country attracts taxes. One way to avoid this is to write "return to seller" on the package which implies it originated from Canada (therefore taxes already paid). No guarantee, of course, customs may still rummage around. Sorry not exactly what you're asking but may give you an idea at least.

sorry about the shoes, but NAP should refund your shipping costs since it's their fault. or, at the very least, they should also have you at the top of the list in case your size is returned and they should offer to ship them for free.

Need your opinion please!

First, I'm wavering on the color now...thinking of returning my whiskey and wait for an ivory. I currently have a chocolate bbag and a rouge bbag. I'm wondering if an ivory paddy might round out the color selection a bit better than the whiskey?

Second, I'm also rethinking the shoulder strap. Not sure if its too bulky for my 5'3" frame. Does ANYONE here have (or tried on) the shoulder satchel?? What do you think?

Hi, I was just wondering if you managed to see the ivory in person at HR on Bloor. I was on the waitlist for the ivory and I get a call today from my SA at Bloor that she managed to secure an ivory one for me so she is Fedexing it to me. I'm very excited but just curious how it looks in person.

As for the color, I wanted the ivory because all the bags I've bought lately have all been brownish:

Gucci suede med hobo in chocolate brown
Mulberry Roxanne in oak
Fendi Spy in cognac

Also, the ivory one was the color I was drawn to when I saw the pics on NAP. I'd stay with the whiskey if that was your first choice. But if you have alot of brown bags, get the ivory for variety.

^ it was the stacked sling style. The leather is just like the paddington. They were about 1 cm to large. Since the leather was so soft, my foot slide down even more. They are suppose to put me on the list if they get a return. I doubt they'll get anymore stock since they were on sale.

Wow! I was basically at the same dilemma! I bought both the Whiskey and the Ivory Paddy. I have a White Balenciaga too. I basically have been thinking hard about this the past couple of days. The more I look at my white paddy, I think it's the one to go. I definitely don't love it as much as my white B-bag, but my B-bag isn't dirty either. I would definitely have a white bag for this upcoming season though, but my choice is the Chanel Gaucho. Am still waiting for that.

Decisions... decisions!! Let me know what you decide!

Apparently, I ran out of time to edit, but the other thing is that Eskimogirl was right. The color whiskey is just so much better for the Paddy. Try comparing them side by side and see if that helps. I did that. The yellowish white, I wasn't such a big fan of either. I just expected something so much brighter and whiter.

Anyways, it sure is hard to let one of them go. But I know that there will be other bags that you will love too!
