Chloe Paddington Bags (February 2005 - March 2010)

Isn't this the zippy? It looked so huge on NAP's website but so ok on Ashlee. I was mildly interested in this but the bag leaped out of my mind when I saw how big it is. Now that I see it on Ashlee, I like it once again.

Sorry if this has been posted. I went back a few pages and didn't see this.

she must have the smaller zippy and is wearing it backwards. what's weird is I thought the zip went all the way around the bag so you could theoretically unzip it and make the bag a few inches taller. but from the pic of ashlee it looks like the zipper only goes halfway around, making it only for decoration.

Wow, that zippy bag doesn't look humongous at all on Ashley Simpson... it looks good. LVR does have some terrible out of propotion pictures. I think they color correct some of their bags in photoshop too. On some of their paddington pictures, the blanc ones photograph nicely with all the details but when you pan down to see the other colors like chocolate, all of the details get washed out in a blanket of brown and you can't really make out all the natural shades and highlights or even texture of the bag. OK that's going too deep with the color correction but it goes back to LVR not representing the bags accurately.

But I hope that means the large paddington tote is better in real life.

who was looking for the original tan? neiman's has it on their website and since it's the old price, it must be from last season so it will have the softer leather. but it's a return so be prepared for an imperfect bag.

Do you mean me? i'm desperate for a tan one, but live in england so i can't get it from NM thinking of getting a hobo instead.... Although i have to wait for pay day. do you think the hobos will sell out the same as the paddys?

Maybe its just me but I really dont like the Paddington bag. I dont know why, im just not keen on it!

I have to comment here b/c I was in your same shoes. I was completely infatuated with another designer and couldnt even imagine what the hype was over these padlock bags.... until one day, I got a call from a SA saying they have a whiskey paddy and wanted to know if I was interested. She was such a helpful SA that she offered to send it to me to check out and if I didn't like it, she'd have FedEx pick it up and return it to her. I figured, why not. I've never seen one IRL, only photos of celebs, etc. Needless to say, when I opened the box, my heart was pounding. The leather was so soft (granted I have no idea how much softer the older seasons are, I can only imagine) and the color completely swept me away. And like any addict, I couldn't stop at one, I had to have another, but the color is what I really love. So with that, I bought the large whiskey hobo (pictures below).

All I can say is that yeah, the locks can scratch easily but compared to this other designer I was so in love with, the quality of these bags just do not compare. The leather, for one, is truly amazing. I'm completely smitten

You guys are so nice, thank you Man, I just can't over how squishy this bag is. I'm in the middle of apple garding the heck out of it. It's drying now from the conditioner and next step is rain & stain. I really love their products. I used to use Kiwi's rain and stain protector, but after using AG's rain and stain, I notice that it has a conditioner in it which is really great!

Thanks Roey - I do have the satchel in whiskey and I adore it as well. But since I'm a mom to a busy little boy, the hobo will be very handy, where the satchel will be perfect for venturing out w/o him, or with him, when I have the urge to carry it.

I got it from NM in Bev Hills and I couldn't be more pleased. I love how they packaged it too.

I wish I could feel what last seasons leather felt like, I've heard amazing things about it. I do like how my hobo is bumpy and textured.

I think you need a hobo!! It's so practical. Aren't we such enablers?

Has anyone else had to fill out a Fedex customs form to receive their bag from LVR? It seems like a pain that a person would have to fill this out everytime they received something from them. Or is this just a one time thing?

The good news is that my bag should be arriving tomorrow- yay!

Mammab-Congrats on your gorgeous whiskey hobo!!! I love the color. Paddys can be just as addictive as Bal bags. I have four paddys and am tempted to purchase another one from this season. Thanks for your advice from the other thread . I'll have to buy some apple guard.

I ordered the mini anthracite. The scheduled arrival date was january- and the bag isn't arriving until tomorrow- the very last day of january! I was hopeful it would come earilier, but i'm glad that it's at least arriving during the expected time frame. Perhaps you will get lucky and have yours come in early! I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

How much is the hobo in the large size and does anyone know what colours it comes in? Do they make whisky coloured shoes aswell?
