Chloe Paddington Bags (February 2005 - March 2010)

So tonight, I just had my whiskey paddy sitting on the bed and my boyfriend walked in and saw it and said "I like this bag. I know your other bags (Balenciaga) has nice soft leather but I really like this one. It's got a nice design and the color reminds me of a basketball. I could see like an NBA player's wife carrying it."

Hehe, I thought that was so cute when he said that. I also couldn't stop laughing because that is a total train of thought of a guy but applied to a purse!

hahahaha that's so funny - my bf is just the same way. he thinks my balenciaga looks like something from H&M ( ), that my Stam looks tacky rolleyes, and my spy he hasn't even dared to comment on (yet) - but my paddy he loves. Whenever we go out and I wear one of my other bags, he's like: why don't you bring that nice bag instead?

Hey Bijin! I'm sure Bahrain will get backto you, but I would highly recommend calling them at least once to get their attention because they seem to be swamped with emails.

Btw, I *love* Japan and I love Kobe. I've been there twice when I was very young (pre earthquake). Then two yrs ago, I was in Tokyo for six months, teaching english at Nova, just for a lark. Had an amazing time, but was *shell-shocked* at Japanese prices, so I know what you mean when you say you can buy two bags for the price of one!

i emailed chloe japan for prices and it's like 184,000 yen which is like $1,547.86 depending on exchange rates. it's not so bad compared to the boutique price and this is with tax. but they don't know which stores have the choc paddy. i have to call around if i want to buy here. LVR still comes out cheaper if i can be patient!

I've bought a chocolate shouder bag which i thought was the hobo, but when i look at pictures of the hobos on this thread and on NM the base is kind of a rectangle with six studs on it, whereas the one i have has a big square base with only 4 studs. I'm confused! I got it at Selfrigdes in London. I would post pics if only i had the knowledge.....

There's a metallic hobo on NM, and plenty of people have one, so I don't know why LVR would say it does not exist. I wonder what's going on

They dont usually have all of the bags on the chloe site, and NAP rarley has all of the styles/colors in as well. It definaltey excists, it's just not as popular as the sachel so not as many places carry it

They told me the anthracite was not metallic and had brass hardware Well, theyre wrong about the hobo not existing so maybe they dont have the anthracite confused with Noir and I should just preorder it from them before it is out of stock. The savings are just too tempting! Otherwise I would habe ordered it from somewhere else by now

I just got my tan mini paddington from Bahrain!!! It is **gorgeous!!* Just gorgeous!! It's slouchy, and distressed and just plain perfection. This is my first paddy and I've honestly never had a bag this beautiful.

FYI, I was on the waiting list for one from NAP, but I got impatient and ended up ordering from Chloe Bahrain. They had just *one* tan mini left fron the 05 season, prob a return because she offered me 10% off (it has a tiny, tiny, tiny, little grain of a chip on the lock, but at a spot where you really don't notice it, so I'm fine with it). That was a dream come true cause I really, really wanted last season's leather, and this bag is just perfect. I've seen an 06 cream bag at neiman's and I can tell immedietely that the qulaity of the leather on this bag is visibly different...much thicker and slouchier.

I'm so excited!!! It's my first paddy!!!

I know, it seems the first batch of 06 bags had better leather than the second batch. My whiiskey is from the very first 06 batch and is soft and slouchy. Style101 and I were discussing that maybe these newer batches that are out were made in a different factory, hence the stiffer leather. My new chocolate has the stiffer leather but after using it twice last week and wiping it down with baby wipes, it seems to have gotten a little softer. Still, it is nothing like my tan of last season, which is so soft, distressed and gorgeous. My AW05 chocolate is also very soft and vintage too.

I am keeping the new chocolate for awhile because it is different, but I really hope the newer batches are of the old style leather. Also, I mentioned in earlier posts that the lining of my new chocolate is a thicker canvas which adds to the stiffness of the leather.

The dark cherry red brown is chocolate, and it seems some 06 bags have more red than others. Mine is barely noticeable; it's very brown.

thanks roey, thats good to know, if i do ever order another bag, i definately would want to get a softer one!

I quite like the shape of that hobo; perhaps it is the medium size versus the large (large is $1500) which would explain the difference in the base? It definitely looks like the new style leather. If you're not 100% satisfied, return it; it's a lot to spend for a bag you're not crazy about.

What color is the satchel in your photo? Is that the noir? It's a pretty bag!

roey - yeah it's noir. As you can see it's more grey than black!

I do love the choc hobo, (i think you might be right about the size, when i read the dimensions on NM their's is bigger.) it's more that i don't have the money right now!
