Wow - sign that the Paddy frenzy is over or what? NAP have had a dark grey one available for over a week now.

I believe Pixie is referring to the e/w satchel with the lock on the side (a smaller padlock too). It has the two handles ala satchel style. There were very few of these bags made IIRC so finding one in a shop might be tough, unless it is on ebay. Pixie, can you post a pic of what you mean?

Yes, it fits quite different. I would say try before you buy (or if you buy first, make sure you can return). I prefer the N/S hobo over the E/W hobo, but I think I may be in the minority here. The N/S hobo "fit" me much better. The N/S is tall, while the E/W is wide. If I recall correctly, the shoulder drop might be longer on the E/W. I liked how the N/S was "slim" and fit nicely along my side. (Note: I returned my cream colored N/S hobo in spite of how much I liked it. I wore it out one day and had terrible denim transfer onto the bottom of the bag. I would have loved to have it in a darker color, but could only locate E/W bags at the time.) I think mammab might have an E/W hobo, so she could better describe its fit.

i only know 1 hobo.. i feel dumb n currently clueless about what u've just said.. do u have pics??

Wow, was just at Nordies here in Bellevue (Washington State) and it looked like the Chloe Mothership blew up in their handbag department. It was insane.

They had the metallic (dark and light, sorry don't know exact names) and whiskey in the hobos, dark metallic, light metallic and WHISKEY (!!) in the Zippy (east/west bouling - I guess is the right name?) the dark and light metallic in the satchel, tons of bettys in black, brown, white, big, small -- bettys in the python (which I didn't like, not crazy about phyton skin, I hate snakes) and other styles which I am unfamiliar with (chloe box, perhaps?). I swear they have like 50 Chloe bags there. Of course there were a lot of Silverados too. They are actually cute bags, but I like a bag that has texture, one that you can "use and abuse" and it gets better w/age. On the silverados I would be afraid that the slighest scratch will show up.

Of course, the only color they didn't have in the paddington style was the Blanc, which is such a beautiful color.

Shoot, now that I think about it, I should have taken some pix w/my camera. Oh well.....dumb, dumb, dumb

Did you see this style (pic below). It is the "box", or Bowler (different from the Zippy Bowler). It's rounder than the traditional two handle satchel.

Thank you! I do have a satchel too. The Bowler has a bit stiffer leather to give it the shape, and is a darker brown that the satchel which has more burgandy/red undertones.

mundodabolsa - I was actually pretty good today! I was tempted, I must say by the silver paddy (the lighter one, not the darker) becaue it just "sparkled" to me and with the distressing, well, it was beautiful. I could definitely see wearing it all season -- summer with some cute da-nangs and simple tank, evening with a black dress -- OMG, I must stop.

That's it, I'm going back tomorrow and will take pictures you guys.

Oh yeah, the ONLY thing that turned me off about the silver was the padlock. It looked kinda beaten up, like it had water spots all over it. Weird.

Mammab- I was at the Nordstrom's at the Westside Pavilion here this afternoon and it was Chloe galore there too! Whisky and Chocolate satchels, Whisky hobos and Bettys!! Sorry no Blancs though! wowsers, I wonder what else they had in the back!

that does look like the noir. the anthra is a dark metallic grey. I've seen both IRL here in Japan and they cost like $2400 here!!!!!
