blue_genie, is that both your bag? it looks perfect! the leather and the hardwares! looks like nothing is scratched and the leather looks so soft and wrinkly! which seaons was yorurs froM?
 
i have a qs, anyone's chloe gold hardware plate at the top with the hoop for the lock has any dents? mines does...kinda bothers me althought its so not noticable - -"

I just ordered my Taupe Paddy!!! But it's on preorder from LVR, gosh the number of problems I'm coming across from peeps who've ordered from them is getting quite worrying. Here's to hoping it'll arrive in pristine condition... if it ever arrives at all. :innocent:

mundo - both keyfree and strappy-going-backy tags say tan. Did you get taupe??!! Or a version of craie??:woot:

SoCal - that taupe comment was mean! ;) :flower:

The pics are of the same bag - I can't get the lighting like the second photo again - they keep looking blu-ish, taupe-y but it's really not... more like the second pic... here's some more. keyfree is on the left. I put whiskey and choc in there so you can see where tan fits in the range. Seems to be missing a nice taupe-y color :brows:

BTW - hubby is sooooooo annoyed with me right about now! :innocent:

aaah, I see, it's the close-ups that get blue.

guys -- I've been in PMS Hell for the last few days. It's been awful!! I totally sabatoged my diet, had wine like every night, haven't worked out in like 3 days, and well, have been OBSESSED with my fedex guy coming. He finally came today w/my Blanc Satchel and that cheered me up. But c'mon! I've been obsessed w/my front door since Monday, checking every 5, 10, 20 minutes. I am exhausted!!

Anyways, I couldn't be more pleased. After the experience w/my blanc hobo -- this is like a breath of fresh air. The leather is super pebbly and soft and slouchy and the lock came nicely wrapped. Its a definite keeper. I am so happy to know that decent Blanc Paddys do infact exist out there!!

Now if only my friggin hobos would get here. That's another long story !!

Nawth -- congrats on your wallet! Love how it matches the lock on your paddy :)

Sorry if I missed anyone, I am so tired. I swear, MIDOL just doesnt work anymore!!

PS I am REALLY LOVING that YELLOW paddy Roz has for sale on eBay! What the heck? Is it really called YELLOW or something else?? That's my fav so far. Taupe is nice, but I am a sucker for yellow!

SoCal - how big was the large in comparison to your zippys? Did you get to see if its very heavy? I love the color but am concerned about the size:huh:
 
here's the pic.. the part where i squish it, see i can squish all the way thru n the stuffings inside it has somehow gone.. not sure what the handle is stuffed with... i haven;t taken a clear pic of the very distressed leather where the lock piece of leather is attached (hmm.. if u zoon u can see the very distressed leather on the corner is that normal?) but that's not what concern me rite now.. it's the handle.. i'm not sure if it'll break off?? :cry:

bag is 4-5 mths old bought fr LVR. i'm putting it under ICU n it's resting in it's dustbag...

wow chic that is really weird. I wonder if it was a preexisting defect that has gotten worse/noticable over time.

Mammab I think the yellow is also called jeunne (cant spell)? (on LVR) Verry summery and nice!
 
okay chic - the handle crack in that position would disturb me too. Can't see the distressing distressing...

Hmmm, but starting to see a trend here. Does anyone else think that maybe LVRs stock is the 'not-ready-for-prime-time players' ?? Discuss...

:furious: LVR!!! ugh.. :angry: they should know their product or get trained in knowing quality before sending the items off... :angry:

anyway blu_genie, it's not a crack.. it's just the stuffing that's missing on that part of the handle.. the back handle. sigh... :( :cry: :doh:

:flower: n since u don't notice the distressing i guess i don't have to worry about it that much afterall...
 
The noir I got from LVR is in perfect condition. Granted it hasn't been used though.

So, should I send off the bag tomorrow or wait until monday? :) Yay I'm excited, another paddy! It's great to find a bag that really fits. I don't see myself using my LV Trouville anymore so I think its time for her to go to a new home. Can't give up the Pleaty though, I still love that sucker.

nawth21, when i received my bag fr LVR, it was perfect.. until couple of uses n i noticed these 'problems'.. :cry: about LV comment.. same, my papilon (in storage) n parioli (still in repair n just been told this morning that it'll take another 2 mth coz the parts fr paris haven't arrived) .. but nw.. the paddy too.. i'm only left with classic chanel n the juicy bag which was bought on impulse n arriving soon... :cry:
 
blue genie- whats wrong with the baby blue paddington? it looks perfect, the padlock the leather, ?

also i see some pictures when the lock is on the hooop thingie on the frnot chloe brass plate without having the leather inserted on the hoop, the 2 rectangle leather thingie with cut out rectangle there to protect it from rubbing against each other?
 
chic_chick - yeah, I know what you meant - not a crack but a crevass in the stuffing. My other bags with rolled handles seem to have a solid rubber tube below the leather so hard to imagine that separating, so I wonder how they make these handles?? Granted these are a lot softer handles than my others.

nawth I really think your noir is soooo soooo pretty. I never got to see one IRL. Wish we could have them all....:( but your anthracite is hot. Weird my LVR bag didn't come with the security tag and any return info - did yours come bow-tied in an LVR box? Mine was probably yet another return!!! At least it's better looking than the BG bag, sans key issue.
 
madem - the blue was perfect, it was just the least sensible color for me so it had to go back - can't keep all :(

If you put at least one of the leather lock leashes on the hoop (pref the left one), it will help protect the plate and the lock from getting dinged. You can still get in and out of your bag without it being totally locked up or zipped :) And yes you mentioned dings on the brass - I think everyone experiences that - if not when they arrive (usually a return) then it will eventually happen. The hardware won't stay pristine but you'll still have a quality, gorgeous bag with the best leather around that will last for a very very long time :)
 
Yep, it came tied in the box, foam on the wrapper and tags in the pocket. That IS weird that there is no security tag, especially since it needs to be on for them to accept the bag for returns.
