Chloe Paddington Bags (February 2005 - March 2010)

Wow that blue one is gorgeous! Every one my paddington is last season GRENAT Color.

Star: After comparing your grenat to the new bordeaux being posted on laurenhill.com, I actually prefer your color. Your red is a perfect red. The bordeaux is way too DEEP red to me. It makes the gold padlock looks moody and gloomy for some reason. By the way, it's Irissy from purseblog.

Everyone: I finally went to Target today and saw the paddy knock offs and omg I wanted to roll on the floor and laugh my head off. The bag was so heliriously looking and it's made of pleather or some weird plastic. It's super light too. My mom was there and actually thought it looks good. I told her that she should see a real paddy first then decide. lol Then as we were walking to the register, I (for the first time EVER in my area) actually saw a lady carrying a choco brown paddy!! I did a double take and then sneak up for a closer look... awk... it was a FAKE. A very good fake but you can tell that the leather was wrong when you get up close. She can actually fool people from far away.

i prefer the 2005 leather since id like it to be more durable, but than again the 06 ;leather would look better since it would age nicer ,. overall its both nice =)

sorry, just woke up, and didn't see that you just wanted to exchange the lock. I think you should send the picture to LVR and let them know that you're not happy about the lock.

I have a medium whiskey paddington that I ordered from Neiman Marcus and its gorgeous. The bag may cost a lot or
seem to expensive but once you see it in person and pick it up, & see the details you'll know why. I've been asked countless times about.

Also I went to eBay recently to see about these little charms to put on, and i bought a chloe paddington gold key ring bag charm for the matching wallet i got as a gift ages ago. But I have to tell you I looked throught their paddington bags and my god, there are so many. But I must forewarn you, the replica's are pretty damn good.

btw the charms range from 200+ don't buy them if they're less than that .

A quick note about paying duty when buying goods in Europe for the US: I just received some espadrilles that I had ordered from Spain. They were designated as gifts, so no duty, however, the billing said that the duty would have been 10% of the total of the merchandise - this should apply to handbags from Europe as well.

oo.. last time when i ordered paddy boots the sender marked it as a $20 value gift and the fedex ppl still called me up, asking how i 'know' that person, etc.. psh..

i think the paddy leather is pretty durable.. my bag hasn't been in the rain but my boots have (same leather) and its held up pretty well.. i even got some salted snow on them (yuck!) which dried parts of the leather a bit, but some water and leather conditioner after it looked fine.. now i doubt anyone would stick their bags in the snow so they should be ok

I will pass on the bordeaux as well and go with the whiskey

I have just sent my cream/'off white' paddy back to NAP for an exchange because the padlock had a big scratch on it and also it wouldn't shut properly.

My dilemma is, do I get another cream or go for the whiskey? Which colour will 'date' better? I am completely torn over this and even dreamed about it last night!

Opinions would be much welcome.

i didn't know creme was available on NAP..
i'm pretty sure its the '06 blanc..

i vote blanc/creme/off-white, whichever it is imo it makes the hardware look more vintage than rustic and creme gold is sophisticated enough to be dressed up and down.

I'm not really bothered what it's official colour is, to me it is cream or 'off white' as NAP has it listed as. However, when I rang cricket in Liverpool to see if they had any in, they called it cream (?). I get confused with all the different shades! It is definitely the S/S 06 one though and it is totally stunning

I just know I am going to want a whiskey too......

Is it just me or does the key strap seem shorter on this seasons paddys?

I believe the first pic is the jaune, second whiskey, and third is called taupe. There is a new mousse, also, one with silver hardware. The new gold is gorgeous!!! It seems to be a muted gold, can't wait to see in person to find out if that is true. The spring white is a true stark white.

Mini paddington

The whiskey is super saturated in color ,just as squishy as last season but thinner leather for sure. I think it's scrunching up nicer than 2005 season. Almost like a summer bag compared to the grenat.....I will post pics from my baby paddington this weekend when I have a chance so you can see size difference. It's tiny!! compared to my other two medium paddy's. The Chloe tag says color BLANC and it is the thick leather so I assume it's 2005 aswell. It looks like a dirty ,vintage off-white, I was a little shocked, originally from Harvey Nichols Manchester. I did not know they sold paddingtons there?...anybody realise that?

I'm still torn deciding between the whiskey and the tan.

I wish I could get my hands on a mini from last season. i'm a big fan of the thicker leather. It just looks so much richer and plushier. anyone know of anyone who'd like to sell one of theirs??!

But TAN is not even listed in the LVR colors under this list (PADDINGTON NEW COLORS HANDBAG )

tan, whiskey, jaune, antracite, blanc and mousse are. NO tan
