Christian Dior F/W 09.10 Paris

I love some dresses, but for me, it's ... I don´t know, I cannot feel what I supposes must feel with a Dior fashion show.

Although it still feels like the Dior that everybody hates, after seeing the whole collection I have to say that it is more well organised. For the last few seasons I doubt if he even put any effort into his collections, but for this one, at least it is not so random and there is a theme going through it.

YES!

It's very Galliano, opposed to Dior. Thank goodness.

Isn't that a bad thing?
I think this collection would work much better for the Galliano label, rather than the Christian Dior label.

those shoes with horn-heels are amazing and im loving the long dresses :)

BORING!

DIOR used to be the hottest show in Paris now it's nothing since Steven Robinson died - which was obviously going to happen since he did everything! It's becoming like a Balmain before Christophe Decarnin took over or Givenchy when Julien Mcdonald was there! I am disapointed but not surprised as I kind of expected it to be sh*t!

Some lovely pieces.
Notably the purple suede(?) matching pair and the red suit with the fur trimmed lapel.

Scrap the patterned pieces (especially the sheer paisleys) and it's a great collection.

I love the way John aproached the eighties trend, since that era is actually a reinterpretation of the 40´s (big shoulders and power suits) instead of going literal he decided to go to the core of the trend which is one of his comfort zones and delivered something that is very true to himself and actually solves womens needs flawlessly, it all looks very luxurios, desirable and actually very Dior, because at the end Dior is John´s vision.

hm, I'm actually bored by this. it's nothing new, same old same old...

I love it TBH, although some of the pieces bore me, like the prints.......that's not really Dior/Galliano style. But I love the pink tiered jacket on Anna J, the jacket on Coco and Natasha's gown.....I like that there's an Asian influence, like it looks like he designed most of these clothes for a 1920s inspried shoot, like that Poiret shoot Natalia did with Meisel for US Vogue which was wonderful......

but the colour/pattern palette is too wide, if it were more refined it would be even better.

dior really needs fresh air ........
galliano is deep down in the fashion abyss ... and dior is suffocating ...
really !

that's bad !

i don't know who talked about poiret ... but oh yeah that were the years ... the magnifique years of Dior ... i still see this show with models climbing down a palace stair wearing Poiret inspired looks ... oh geez ... that was GallianoxDior ...

I don't know what to say:unsure:, some pieces are quite nice but somehow I've been bored with with Dior collection for quite a few seasons. I don't love it, I want to expect to see smth special from Galliano

definitely not the best dior collection ever but after the last couple of seasons i have to say i felt relieved when i saw this. i agree with Mr-Dale that maybe it would be more interesting if there weren't so many different colors, but the gowns are gorgeous and very galliano - more galliano himself than dior by galliano, but at this point i'm just happy there's no high waisted belt and no lisa fonssagrives-esque makeup (love the hair and makeup by the way)... i wonder if dior will ever be as good as it used to be some years ago - i hope it will, but i don't have high expectations anymore - because lately i've been much more interested in galliano than in dior...

i love the tibetan influence! te end seems like genghis khans harem! beautiful!
