Gucci F/W 2006.07 Milan

So many designers take themselves so seriously these days, and it's good to see Gucci having some fun. Last season she was trying so hard to make it just like every trying-to-be fashion forward designer and the result was bleh imo. This finally looks sexy and delicious, maybe some things are slightly tacky (purple tights???) but overall I like it a lot. I love fashion these days that's not afraid to just be downright glamorous.

Oh my....this is horrible
This makes last seasons collection look light years better. I mean almost everything is totally unflattering. I don' t see the sexiness in this. It' s pure trash to me. I thought Frida was planning to change the whole image of the brand?. It looked like she took a couple of steps ahead and now it seems she has suffered a huge fall back into Tom Ford' s Gucci!

va va bum!, she completely switched her design aesthetic this time, wether it will be better or not i think is a bit to premature to figure it out, but maybe she´s influenced by that sort of bring back the glam and the trash trend thats emerging this season and that started at the men´s shows, i like the glits and the furs but i adore the silhouettes of the evening dresses from her first show and i was specting something more like that but i will like to see the rest and the day wear if there was shown.

most of colors & shapes are based on her 1st debut last spring, but she changed the fabrics & colors & added more glitter ....,in brief she added TOM FORD spells ...

yeah. But Milan fashion week is always my favourite and I like that the runways during this week are full of beautiful and sexy clothes. But there appears a sad tendency: sexy transforms to vulgar and cheap-looking. The boarder between these 2 notions is very slight and more and more designers begin to eliminate it. That's why now I hate Cavalli's collections and begin to like less and less Gucci's ones...the exception is Versace the latest collection of which shows more austere and classic style in comparison to old creations of Donatella

I think this is the best Gucci since Tom Ford left. It feels much more confident and like someone said, womanly. It's very sexy but that's so much a part of the Gucci DNA that I doubt we'll ever get away from it. That long printed purple dress on Gemma is beautiful. Looks like the '70s are trickling back in.

I'm quite disappointed by this collection. It just SCREAMS sex and that's not sexy. I think she should have her own voice and not try to emulate Tom Ford's Gucci. Get over him. He did it, he's gone now, move on already.

I think Gucci needs to give the customer some credit. What Ford did was his style and to try to continue his style is just trying to be Tom Ford. I think the customer will be able to see that and lose faith in the brand.

I think last season's collection was much better. It blended what the customer was used to while introducing a new perspective.
