We called this one three months ago. The title still holds. Everything will be very, very civil on the outside. Neither is expected to publicly blab about the details. However, behind the scenes, there is a flurry of activity over money and outsiders. Both members of this celebrity couple have considerable fortunes, but one has more than the other, and wants to block the less-wealthy one from claiming a piece of that both now and in the future. The negotiations have been cautious, however, due to both parties showing interest in someone outside the marriage since the decision to split was made several months ago. One has been spending a lot of phone time with an old flame who is now married. The other has been finding comfort in the constant company of a same sex member of their staff. The attorneys will hammer out the money, but it will interesting to see if either uses the other’s outside relationship as private or public leverage.

There's no way it's Ben and Gwyneth, they dated like for a year (at top) and it all pointed out that there was a common sense in parting,i think she had left him cus of his gambling an then alcohol habit plus he seemed like a real rebaound guy, no way did she found in him true love after 8 years and 2 kids.
good god, i'm looking like a Gwyneth defender in thins thread, don't i?

Shirley Temple was born in 1928, so in 1940 she would've been 12. JFK is dead on though, especially since he joined the navy in 41. I think Judy Garland is right... That was around the time of Oz and she would've been 18.

^^ Yes, you're quite right...I was thinking of what a beautiful teen Shirley became - with Cary Grant in Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer- that was a few years later, though... The image of Judy and JFK locked away in a hotel room is odd to me- but she was the biggest of stars then, and he was a hound of the highest order, so it sounds right if you see it in that light!

you're right, i haven't read the BI correctly. it doesn't say he's with his past girlfriend just that she might be soon on the market.
with all the rumors about her upcoming divorce it might easily be her. it fits perfectly.
but on the other hand, as someone said, Ben has the most cautious PR team with him so i don't think it will all look that good if he's really going into this, just after he has his 2nd child.

yeah, that's another good guess about the gf part. both gwyneth and j.lo fit there.
ben and gwyneth were together for about a year, i think it was 8-9 years ago.

I don't think the UN is as reckless as commercial organisations, but even if it were the case, you just can't be on that particular substance and be active all around the world (whether in Afghanistan or promoting a movie) with 100s of camera up your face recording every hints of dysfunction or odd behavior, have coherent, eloquent interviews left and right, etc.
With Columbia's #1 export, it would be possible to be that functional, but not with Afghanistan's star product. Imo, of course.Didn't she recently told her fans to mind their 'f***** business' or something?
I agree that this one is about Angie and Jen.That's a odd argument imo. I would understand thinking she does that stuff for publicity only but I am not quite sure what being 'out there' sexually has to do with humanitarian work.

sorry, not to disillusion you about the UN, but there are quite a few issues surrounding the organisation- particularly concerning the top management (and these will be the people that deal with Angelina and handle her involvement).

The UN aid workers and ground personnel are fantastic and truly dedicated, but at the top, the management is every bit as commercial, image and power hungry as the next business/hollywood corporation.

With the publicity that Angelina brings, in all likelihood the managers are willing to overlook any unsavory aspects.

The reason i am (slightly) informed to say this? My dad works for the UN as a logistician, he was in Darfur in 2006-7 when Angelina was touring to lend her "support". He and his collegues have dealt with her, and essentially she was chaperoned in a private helicopter, car and residence the entire time. Little contact with the actual conditions save for the occasional media/photo opp which even then was stage managed by her "people".

I'm not denying celebrities can be altruistic, but in highly publicised cases like this...it IS all as much about image and publicity as it is about the cause.
