Another day, another dollar -- but not for Lindsay Lohan!

The Mean Girls actress was stiffed by an ATM machine in Beverly Hills on Thursday afternoon after three of her credit cards were denied, leaving the machine with an error message.

"Lindsay was at a pharmacy and tried to take money out of the ATM with three different cards," an eyewitness told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

"Finally she asked for help after the screen flashed to 'call for service' and she realized it was broken."

One eyewitness told RadarOnline.com the starlet was left cashless, despite calling out to the clerk to call for service and have it fixed.

Leaving the question: ATM malfunction, or insufficient funds?

According to the clerk at the pharmacy, the ATM was working perfectly fine all day, until Lindsay got her hands on it.

"The machine has been working fine all day," the clerk told RadarOnline.com.

Seems the 24-year-old starlet can't catch a break lately.

Lohan has been the center of controversy after the owner of a Venice, California, jewelry store claimed she stole a $2,500 necklace and she was charged with felony grand theft.

She's slated to appear in front of Judge Keith Schwartz next Wednesday, February 23, for her next hearing in the matter, and must appear, as is the case with anyone in Los Angeles County who is charged with a felony.

The troubled actress completed a 90-day treatment at the Betty Ford Center after repeated failures to meet the terms of her probation in connection with her 2007 DUI conviction.

We knew she wouldn't stay locked up inside her Venice Beach home forever!
Lindsay FINALLY went out to get her party on last night, following her ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson to their old stomping grounds - Teddy's nightclub at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood.
Linds arrived in her rented Porsche at 1:45 am to the parking lot of the hotel, looking for Sam. Our photographer tells us:

"It was like old Lindsay -- she was desperate to find Sam. She jumped out of her car and ran into the hotel all nervous and wired."

Then, whadaya know -- Lindsay emerges with Sam and the couple get into Sam's BMW to head home to their matching two-story homes by the beach. Why'd they ride together and leave Lindsay's luxury rental in the VIP spot at the Roosevelt? A source who was inside the hotel last night (this morning) tells us:

"Lindsay didn't seem straight. She didn't need to be behind the wheel and Sam always takes car of Lindsay no matter what. Even though they aren't officially dating right now, Sam feels a responsibility for Lindsay so she told Lindsay she'd drive her home. Sam definitely feels like Lindsay is clinging and kind of stalking, but Sam loves her regardless and will always be there for her."

How Lindsay Could Go To Jail Without a Trial

Lindsay Lohan could go to jail for more than a year for allegedly stealing that necklace ... and it could happen without a jury, without a trial .... without grand theft charges even being pursued.

After doing some investigating, we discovered the D.A. could drop the felony grand theft case completely. But that wouldn't end Lindsay's legal woes -- not by a long shot.

Prosecutor Danette Meyers could go back to court and ask the judge to violate Lindsay's DUI probation ... on grounds she stole the necklace.

The judge in the probation case could then hold a hearing -- without a jury -- to determine if Lindsay did indeed pilfer the jewelry.

Now here's the big problem for Lindsay. In a criminal case, the D.A. must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt -- in other words, convincing a jury that there's a 98 to 99% chance that she did the deed.

But in a probation violation case, all the judge has to decide is that it's more likely than not that she stole the jewelry -- in other words, that there's a 50.1% chance she did it.

Sources connected with the D.A.'s office tell us ... prosecutors believe they could ask for more than 1 year in jail if the judge decides Lindsay violated her probation.

And one final piece of bad news. It's very possible if the D.A. dismissed the grand theft case, the probation violation matter would go back to Judge Elden Fox in Beverly Hills, who has totally lost patience with Lindsay.

Michael Lohan's Ex -- He Won't Stop Harassing Me!

Michael Lohan's ex -fiancee Kate Major just filed a criminal complaint against Lindsay's dad -- claiming MiLo's been harassing her constantly ... calling her non-stop and even threatening her.


It all started within the last couple weeks ... when the on-again off-again couple finally split for good -- we're told Kate tried to pack up all her stuff from their New York apartment ... but Michael got in the way ... and the argument went nuclear.

Sources close to the ex-couple tell us, Kate immediately fled to her family's home in Florida -- where Michael called so much, she asked Verizon to permanently block his number ... at which point Michael allegedly threatened to do "something bad."

She filed the criminal complaint yesterday with police -- and we're told, she plans to seek a restraining order on Monday.

Michael tells TMZ, "She has done this many times before, and the allegations always prove to be false."

She was recently warned by a judge that she was 'no different' from the other mere mortals assembled in the court room.
And last night troubled actress Lindsay Lohan discovered the saying 'if you're name's not down, you're not coming in' also applies to her.
The 24-year-old star's celebrity status did her no favours as she was unceremoniously turned away from a private party at the Sunset Marquis Hotel in Hollywood.

Lohan is seen talking to a doorman, watched on by a police officer, before being denied entry.
The latest episode comes as Lindsay vehemently denied partying at Teddy's nightclub at the Roosevelt Hotel the night before on Thursday.
Lindsay is currently on bail after being charged with the theft of a $2,500 necklace from
Warning her that she was no different to anybody else in the room, Judge Keith Schwartz warned Lohan to abide by the law or face jail. The hearing is set to continue later this month.
According to RadarOnline, Lohan left last night without making a fuss after being turned away.

Yet she took $15,000 from ABC News for interviews with "GMA" and "20/20" with Chris Cuomo. ABC News paid Dina a licensing fee for family photos of Lindsay, as it disclosed in the footage. Lindsay reportedly didn't know her mother was appearing on the show with her baby photos. The tactic is used by news agencies who can't legitimately pay for interviews with subjects who refuse to appear without a fee. An ABC insider said, "Unlike our competitors, we're upfront about it, and they just lie about it." Dina told us: "I have no idea what you are talking about it. Where do you get your information? Most people are nice to me that call me on the phone." An ABC News rep said, "We did pay a license fee. We did pay a market-rate license fee for those images, and that was transparent to our audience."
