Lindsay Lohan accused of stealing gems

LINDSAY LOHAN is being investigated by police over the theft of jewellery from a magazine photoshoot.

The actress did a spread for Elle on her recent trip to London and is accused of walking off with the gems she was posing in.
This isn't the first time Lohan has been linked with stolen goods.
Louis Vuitton bosses reportedly refuse to deal with her anymore after she nabbed stuff from their shoots and the actress was also caught up in a fur coat fracas after allegedly taking home a Russian student's mink from a club.
Lohan has not commented on the latest accusation.

^ Ugg... I'm really beginning to wonder if it's all getting to her- brainwise...Everyone has tough times and makes mistakes, but this has become a pattern...More and more craziness all the time...I mean, if only half of it is true- it's still bad... And she's still on probation, right??

Lindsay Lohan is at the centre of a London police investigation in connection with the theft of jewellery from a magazine photoshoot.

The actress was in the English capital recently, when she posed for an upcoming spread in fashion glossy Elle, according to sources.

Website HolyMoly.com claims the actress kept asking about the gems on loan for the shoot - and then allegedly left with them.

An insider tells the website, “She kept going on about the jewels, asking if she could have them. We all thought she was joking.”

The jewellers realised the $45,000 (£30,000) worth of bling was missing after the shoot and contacted magazine bosses, who insisted they had no knowledge of what had become of the gems.

The editors and jewellers then spent two weeks trying to get a response from the Mean Girls actress, but she reportedly left the U.K. last week (08Jun09) without getting back to them.

According to the website, the matter was handed over to British police late last week (ends12Jun09).

This isn’t the first time Lohan has been linked with stolen goods - Louis Vuitton bosses reportedly refuse to deal with her anymore after she repeatedly nabbed stuff from their shoots, and the actress was caught up in a fur coat fracas after allegedly taking home a Russian student’s $11,000 (GBP7,300) mink from a New York club last year (08).

The coat’s rightful owner, Masha Markova, claimed Lohan swiped her coat - a gift from her grandmother - as she left a private party.

Markova feared she’d never see the fashion item again, but couldn’t believe her luck when she saw Lohan wearing it in a magazine photo.

After threatening legal action and going public with the coat story, Markova’s fur was returned to her.

Lohan’s publicist failed to respond to WENN about this story before we went to press.

Elle released a statement via its publicist that Lindsay was not responsible for the theft. It's just people trying once again to cause drama around her every move. It's just abhorrent the way people treat her as a tool for publicity and shock factor.

A spokeswoman for the magazine released a statement saying, "Elle has no reason to believe that Lindsay Lohan was in any way responsible and has no further comment to make." Lohan's rep tells the magazine, "We inquired and everyone from the shoot is being questioned. Hair, make up, stylist...even photographers. Lindsay hopes they find the jewels. She is happy to cooperate."

She thanked them on her twitter:

sevinnyne6126Thank you to everyone at Elle Magazine for your statement.

^^ OK, well Fox News is saying Scotland Yard wants to talk to her...

Insert comment here: ______________ .... (And evidently there are also nasty e mails from Sam) This should really help Lindsay get it together...

Hot off the presses from E! Online:

It's over.
After Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson reconnected last month following their split in April, the couple has once again broken up.
The duo broke things off again Monday night after a nasty argument. One major point of friction between the two was Sam's friendship with Nicole Richie, who's reportedly no fan of Lohan.
"Nicole refuses even to be in the same room as Lindsay," says a source, noting that just last week Nicole invited Sam to a mutual friend's birthday party at Bar Marmont with the stipulation that she not bring Lindsay. "Sam went to the party, and it really upset Lindsay," says the source.
After Sam had dinner with Nicole at Izakaya last night, a source says she gave Linds the kiss-off.
Sam's rep declined to comment on her personal life, and Richie's rep could not be reached for comment.

Hmmmm, who to believe, Lohan or FAUX News, Lohan or FAUX News ....

They both have about equal credibility. I mean if FAUX news were to report that the Earth wasn't flat, I'd have to double check the claim.

From E! Online...(Strange time and place for business meetings, humm??)

June 19, 2009 - Who was that by our E! pal <A href="http://www.eonline.com/on/personalities/bio/ryan.jsp" target=_blank _extended="true">Ryan Seacrest</A _extended="true">'s side last night?
It was none other than Lindsay Lohan.
The two apparently had a fun evening with stops at L.A.'s Chateau Marmont and then at nightclub hot spot H.Wood, where "they were laughing and talking," a source said.
And it didn't end there...
After clubbing, they went to LL's house. Paparazzi agency X17 reports that Lohan was visited by the cops at about 3:30 a.m. after neighbors apparently complained about her loud music. (A Los Angeles Police Department spokesman could not confirm the visit to us, because a noise complaint "would be too minor" for the nightwatch to record.)
Never one to let the police get in the way of having a good time, Lohan and Seacrest ditched her abode at about 4 a.m. and headed to Seacrest's place.
A couple of hours later, Linds was spotted heading back home.
What exactly went on behind the closed doors, we don't know. However, a source close to Lohan tells me that the starlet recently told friends she and Seacrest have talked about working together.
"Lindsay said they've had a couple of business meetings," the source reports. "She wants to co-produce something with Ryan, maybe a reality show or a movie."
In fact, Ryan said, er, tweeted himself that he's got an idea for the comeback kid.
"Met with lindsay last night about a show idea I have for her...it helps people and gives others a second shot! Still putting it all together," he wrote on his Twitter page Friday.

omg did anyone hear about how lindsay was paid 70 000 to host her own fricken birthday?!!?!

occurrences like that are normal in hollywood. clubs will pay celebrities to use their clubs. paris hilton has surely made millions this way.

^ Yeah, but your own birthday party!!? Wouldn't you think a "big" Hollywood "star" () would have some friends or something to throw a party for her?? :(

Lohan and 'Business Partner' Sued Over SevinNyne Tanning Mist

TAMPA — Not everyone is glowing about a new fake tan spray that actress Lindsay Lohan claims to have invented.
A lawsuit filed in Tampa federal court says Lohan and a Nevada woman stole the formula for Sevin Nyne from a St. Petersburg chemist named Jennifer Sunday.
Lohan launched the tanning mist spray this summer, taking credit for co-creating it over the past three years with Lorit Simon, a Las Vegas businesswoman who air-brushes tans for celebrities.
Impossible, says Sunday's attorney, Marcia Cohen, who told the St. Petersburg Times that her client only recently completed the ingredients used in Sevin Nyne.
"We are certainly looking for the profits that are being generated right now from that product," Cohen said Monday. "If Ms. Lohan and Ms. Simon and their companies and their shareholders are profiting from the theft of my client's formula and are profiting from that product, my client is entitled to those proceeds."
A publicist for Lohan couldn't be reached Monday, and Simon didn't respond to an e-mail seeking comment.
Sunday is suing Lohan, Simon, and Simon's company for breach of contract, theft of trade secrets, civil conspiracy, intentional interference with contractual relations and deceptive and unfair trade practices.
Simon signed a confidentiality agreement in January with Sunday's company, White Wave International Labs. A copy of the agreement was included in the lawsuit. The suit says Simon and Sunday had been negotiating over samples of the tanning mist, but the sides couldn't agree on a price.
"The next thing we know, Lorit Simon and Lindsay Lohan are partnering and Ms. Lohan is taking credit for developing this formula, which she indeed had no role in," Cohen said.
Cohen said Sunday and Lohan have never met.
Simon told Sunday that she had a friend who would help publicize and market the sunless tanning product, which Simon's company would distribute, according to Cohen.
The tanning mist ingredients include goji berry, caramel, Chardonnay extracts and a sugar-coconut base, according to published reports.
Sevin Nyne launched this summer at Sephora. It retails for $35, according to the store's Web site. Lohan calls it her "sunless secret." She named the product, she says, after her lucky numbers.
Sunday graduated from Eckerd College in 1999, her Web site says. She worked as a pharmaceutical analytical chemist after college, before spending time in genetic research at Shriners Hospital in Tampa.
She later launched her own personal care product company. For the past five years, the site says, Sunday focused on creating indoor tanning products.
