In recent years, Lindsay Lohan has become better known for her dramatic rows with on/off girlfriend Samantha Ronson than for her 'career'.

But it appears the former child star's agents still think they are dealing with a super star.
They have dismissed reports that the newly blonde tabloid favourite is to appear on next year's Celebrity Big Brother as a 'tacky' way to gain publicity for the show.

Lindsay is currently in Paris, where she has been attending shows during Fashion Week.
On Thursday night, she joined Anna Wintour at a Vogue magazine party to celebrate 90 years of the magazine's iconic covers.
Wearing a black jumpsuit and gold scraf, Lindsay looked tired as she posed on the red carpet.

Rumours about Lindsay appearing on Channel 4's final Celebrity Big Brother show had been around for months, but a new source had reported that Lohan was mulling over the decision.
However, her spokesperson said: 'Producers have been calling and emailing her whole team and it has been a pass. This is a tacky way to get cheap publicity.'

I've always thought of a merchandiser as a rep for a vendor like Hallmark or Cadbury that stocks the displays in grocery or drug stores.

PARIS — It is the battle between blonde and brunette for the soul of Emanuel Ungaro. One is the movie and music star Lindsay Lohan — recently as infamous for her steamy private life as for her Hollywood career in the films “The Parent Trap” and “Freaky Friday.”

The slim, dark-haired Estrella Archs is far from being a household word, although the Barcelona-born designer has worked for major labels like Hussein Chalayan, Emilio Pucci in the Christian Lacroix period, Miuccia Prada and Nina Ricci.


But since “LiLo,” as she is known to fans and to the ever-present paparazzi, was appointed creative director of Ungaro, the Spanish designer has been working with the actress to produce Sunday’s collection in just three weeks.


“Mediterranean,” said Ms. Archs to describe the spirit of softly draped dresses and heart symbols on jackets. Ms. Lohan was conspicuous by her absence from the Ungaro studio on Thursday, but Mounir Moufarrige, Ungaro’s chief executive, is convinced that he is onto a winner.


“She knows the difference between what looks good, what is not and what is cool,” Mr. Moufarrige said. “Celebrities today attract a lot of attention and having a moving, dancing, swinging, living doll is, we hope, going to bring down the age group at Ungaro while keeping the DNA.”


Since this was the man who plucked Stella McCartney out of London and placed her at Chloé, watch out for LiLo’s debut.

God her mom SO wants to stay hip and like a 'girlfriend' to her daughter instead of her mom, I think I remember Jane Fonda saying something negative about Lindsay and how spoilt she acts/acted on the set of 'Georgia Rule'.

With their runway debut scheduled for tomorrow afternoon, it’s too soon to say whether the unique relationship dreamed up by company CEO Mounir Moufarrige will be a success or even more short-lived than their predecessor Esteban Cortazar’s three-season stint at the French house. Archs, the chief designer, has Prada, Pucci, and Nina Ricci on her resume. Lohan, the brand’s artistic advisor has few qualifications other than being a clotheshorse (”It’s a problem, really,” she said.) and being one of the most photographed women in the world. Forty-eight hours before the show, a lot remained to be done, but we can tell you to expect thigh-baring hemlines, hot pink and electric orange, and a heart motif that should win the brand a few new ones. When we asked the duo about their approach to the label, they came up with very different answers. “Reviving the DNA,” said Archs. “Bringing youth to it,” said Lohan.
