Exept LV Exclusively Contract like Signe, Mariam, Sasha, Clemetine & Klara
Ashley always put the fresh face to dubut as LV exclusive.
Laurijn Bijnen is one of the top star last season MAYBE She will get the next LV Campaign or Catalogue instead.
BTW. I Think she looks like Rebecca Leigh.

Yeah, its odd. But I think is simply just a break - she's been going strong for about 2 years now right? I think a break is warranted.

Can we have a special salute to the models who have been in the game for a minute that worked their butts off this season. (Jing, Lineisy, Binx,He, Karly, Kiki, Nora, Sora, Chiharu)

With the turnover rate being so high these days their staying power should be noted.

I love what Giedre has done with her runway career. It's so awesome to still see some of the faces that entranced us before social media ruined fashion. Grace Hartzel and Sara Blomqvist had stellar comebacks this season; it was so awesome having their presence back.

There are plenty of striking newcomers this season. Models of color in particular. Just too many girls. A blink-and-you-miss-it moment in the spotlight for the vast majority. But really, there's no shortage of beauty. Most of the girls doing well are legit gorgeous. Not as many boring blank canvas beanpoles. I really think it was the best season in ages in that respect. The crazy turnover rate and overall state of fashion (and the social media age we live in) is what makes it all so bleak.

^ Yeah I saw that she went to Disneyland and I feel like it was to kind of take her mind off the fact that she didn't book Chanel or Miu Miu. No big deal though, she was everywhere this season and opening and closing a lot, I'm sure it doesn't mean she's gone from those shows for good, even the top top girls have to miss a few big ones here and there.

It is interesting that the top walker this season did 40 shows whereas 10 or so years ago there were plenty of girls doing 60 shows and some even doing 70 something. I don't really see it as a bad thing though, I think 60-70 shows, 4 shows a day over and over again, is a bit excessive and must be pretty stressful / incredibly tiring for a model, and there ends up being tons of D-list filler shows in amongst the showlist.

40 or 50 shows seems more manageable, they can stay fresh and really put their all into each show and enjoy it that bit more.

I agree. Although 40 doesn't sound like a ton of shows anymore, it does keep the girls fresher. I remember how some of the 00s girls would like by Paris...

Because many brands skip the main fashion week and do the separate show / go lookbook / no fashion show or discontinued.
New York Fashion Week without Alexander Wang & Calvin Klein is so dull.

Quite a few missing from the Breakout Season list (where’s Mona and Josefine?), while Barbara Valente is more of a comeback/resurgence than a breakout.

Also, do they not count girls that debuted in Paris? Amar and Maty are both missing.

I could be wrong, but I recall Ambar being on Top Newcomers for her first Louis Vuitton exclusive (which also takes away the idea that MDC doesn’t count girls exclusive to Paris this season).

EDIT: Nvm, she wasnt on the official MDC list. Maybe you’re right.
