Models Who Were One-Hit Wonders

Is Nataliya Gotsiy a one hit wonder? I feel like her career never took off blue chipwise.?

I think she suffered from some bad publicity due to certain runway images. Then she left to have some kids. She tried to make a comeback a couple years ago but it didn't go far.

hannah holman comes to mind. she gets some work every so often, but never to the caliber of her miu miu and marc daisy campaigns. i'd take her over stella lucia any day

Viktor van Pelt and Gracie van Gastel.
Neither of them have worked with many A-list clients since the Prada SS14 Campaign

I know she wasn't a one hit wonder, but has there ever been a model with a meteoric rise and fall like Arizona Muse? She was everywhere at one point and was racking up vogue covers. Now she barely works.

but she does really high profile print work

Georgia Frost (Definition of one hit wonder, Dolce)
Ruby Jean Wilson (Same, but with Marc)
Rachel Alexander
Stef Van Der Lam
Rose Cordero (All I know her from is her Vogue Paris cover…)
Masha Tyelna
Darya Kurovska (Especially after her bad press on The Model Agency…)
Kelly Mittendorf (Thankfully…)
Juliane Gruner
Laura Kampmann (I hesitate to add her here because I think she had a rather great career but she went from everywhere to nowhere in the blink of a season)

What about Ali Stephens, i thought she was going to be big, and she was in for a couple of seasons, although she did really well during that time.

Stef Van Der Lam

I guess you mean Stef Van Der Laan. That's a strange carreer: fulltime modelling for good magazines (not Vogue or Harpers Bazaar, but still on a high level) for about 5 years, then almost disappearing, then suddenly peaking in 2012, and then back to the first situation.

But because of making a lot of money already in 2005/2006, I wouldn't concider her a one-hit wonder.

^No Vogue, HB or big brand campaigns mean she didn't make it a hit back then, so Stef's definitely welcome to the club.

Elza Luijendijk (Does anyone know what happened here? She had such a promising career lined up but to my knowledge all she booked was the Versace F/W 12 campaign?)
Sessilee Lopez (I mean again she had a good run but then dropped off very suddenly)
Auguste Abeliunaite
Franzi Mueller
Kayley Chabot

arizona is definitely not one hit wonder. up until the end of last year she stil had many vogue covers on her resume.

Oh, I completely forgot about her... I liked her when she was around.

Also, Melissa Tammerijn seems to be fading :(

And when someone gets an Estee Lauder contract and then slowly disappears, I figure they've reached a financial position where they can afford to be more choosy about how often they want to work.

Sessilee Lopez (I mean again she had a good run but then dropped off very suddenly)

That's a stretch, a few factors contributed to her departure. I wouldn't say she was one hit wonder.

^ Well I'm simply stating my opinion regarding her career span, I don't know of any 'contributing factors' to her slowing down/leaving the industry.

And again, what qualifies a model to be a 'one hit wonder' because the majority of new girls do well for a season or two then fade away, that's also just the industry.

In any case, all comments are my personal opinion

That's where I guess this forum confuses me, I don't see how Sessilee particularly fits the mold of 'one hit wonder' when was in the industry for a greater period of them them most models last today and work with relativity established people within the industry. But I guess my own personal opinion is biased, so I understand you opinion as well. :flower:

It has been implied in her thread that she is difficult to work with (or something similiar), that's why she's changed a few agencies as well.
