Models Who Were One-Hit Wonders

I think you should differentiate between Models who where on the top, did big Vogue Covers, campaigns and where literally everywhere, still get good bookings but aren't that hyped anymore and maybe didn't become as big as it seemed they would (like Malaika) and models who had one or two good seasons and maybe did like one big job and totally faded away afterwards (like Gracie van Gastel or Lieke van Houten)

how about models who worked for a good amount of years and then completely stop?

like Freja? Daria S? Frida G?

I mean I think Freja is quite an Icon? based on the time that she worked.

but what about Daria and Frida?

IMO: Frida G is completely different than the other two. She completely faded due to obvious factors. Freja, on the other hand is an icon. She chose to stop modelling as it was never her thing. Daria S is a superstar and even if she wasn't working, she would still be one of the most memorable models, like Kasia.

To me, Impy and Vita Sidorkina are one-hit wonders. Impy was everywhere for SS17, from Versace to Chanel to Fendi... now? The shows she walked in FW were very small, I'm sure most of it was due to her dark and long haircut which doesn't make her stand out as much. Vita walked the VSFS in 2015, then went on to do multiple campaigns for them and go to the 2016 Swim Special as well as star in an Angels Lipsync video, so it was certain that she'd be an Angel soon. Then she suddenly faded away... She's said that she didn't even attend the 2016 castings due to her weight gain, but she was a Sports Illustrated Rookie this year.

As far as I know Daria is studying again in LA but i'm sure we'll see her back eventually. Frida was a nobody compared to Daria and Freja.

Anyway, lot's of models take breaks but the ones you mentioned were hardly one-hit wonders

Sorry to say that but I think that's a BIG lie , not going to VS casting due to her weight gain ?? ...Or let's be honest and say that VS ditched her. She was working a lot for them after the 2015 show and trying to push her like they did with Josephine but for I don't know what reason they suddenly stopped.
Her body looks better and healthier than ever now so there is no reason to not going to the casting for that , especially when you get Sports Illustrated.

I can't believe you actually put Freja's name in a thread about one-hit wonders  Btw she's still working, she had a few breaks here and there but she's still booking good quality work.

Daria and Frida were both very successful for several years and had more than "one hit" during the time they were at the top. Not every girl in the business can have years of longevity, and you can't also blame them for eventually moving on to focus on their studies, family or other passions.

Impy had a bit of hype around her because she did like 4/5 good shows during SS17 but after that, no campaigns, no editorials... I don't think it's even enough to call her a hit.

I completely agree, they had Rachel Hilbert walk the show again and she doesn't fit the usual body standards VS holds, not to mention how deeply involved she was with the brand last year.

Katie Moore definitely

She may have faded on the catwalk but her editorial work is plentiful, bluechip, and continues to be on point. I mean, she just popped up in US Vogue this month, so..

So sad , She used to be a Balmain regular and if I'm not wrong she had a Solo Vogue cover by Meisel , right ?

^ Yup. Same with Caitie Greene. Solo VI cover, Prada, Coach, Zara, and now, no signs of her.
