I'd have to agree on all the Wong Kar Wai films.

Wong is actually inspired by Godard, and I can't believe no-one has mentioned Le Mepris with Brigitte Bardot and Michel Piccoli. BB in that film was my style icon for so many years!

and belle du jour is obviously fantastic.

a more "out-there" choice: Streets of Fire, a bisarre eighties teenage rock-opera in a fifties science fiction setting -outrageous soundtrack as well...

I love those costume dramas. They are always eye cathing to me!
Some great costumes...
Amadeus - bizarre (the wigs ) and mysterious (the Venetian masks).. great movie!
Dangerous Liaisons - man with pantyhose (with Uma of course)
Moulin Rouge - beautiful colours, love it!
Alexander.. wasn't a great movie but the costumes...Wauw!
Dracula - lots and lots of material (with lovely Winona)
Last Emperor beautiful chinese clothes!
Vatel - this movie is so breathtaking to look at! just marvellous!
