Prada Mens F/W 2008.09 Milan

i'm just kidding of course

but i love the tutu. i really do. i could use it during private parties with friends or what have you

is this really fall cause i'm not seeing any fur or coats or what have you

this is like a complete turnaround from the caveman collection

i definetely wouldn´t wear a tutú !!!!!!!

what is wrong with her??? could men just be men an women be women??

she definetely made people talk about it an i think that is also a good marketing strategy!!

i like the pants, tho!!!

I like the metallic suits in post #20 ..other than that too many gimmics..

the tutu is also a chica cover up when you're at the beach!! hella, you can wear it on top of teeny tiny swimming trunks and when you wanna lounge with your friends at the bar drinking lychee martinis at 3 in the afternoon.. it's perfect!!

are you telling me a man in a tutu is less of a man than a man in trousers?

Im suprised in a place called the fashion spot there are so many narrow minded reviews, if you don't like progressive fashion there is always D&G, knowone is saying this is the difinitive collection...

I think we have got to a point where gender divides are often just what sex you are. Many people dress very androgenously, with trousers and shirts etc. Even wider culturally males and females are doing the same jobs for the same money. Is this not what the non-radical feminists wanted? I am fed up of having to conform to traditional masculine roles and I think this is a reflection of that. Although I have no real idea my insight is that she is realising this thin divide and having fun with it. Is this not what the essence of fashion is? I don't think it is a huge leap to go from Dior Homme (as an example) that I am sure most people absolutely adorded because is was progressive but in a traditionally masculine way. There is a point where detail comes to play a huge part in the identity of the collection, whether it be tighter fitting, smaller collars, playing with zip placement. Aside from the tutu's I don't think much of it is drastically different to something you may find in a 'traditional' collection, the details have made it so.

Having said all of this perhaps it is 'wierd for the sake of wierd' but I like it so far...I hope a video turns up soon...

^i can see you're a woman......
how can i pee with the zipper on the side of the pants?????????

i get it Miuccia wants to see men suffering the way women suffer for ages.... because of us........

but some stuff are not really easy for a man.....

not every man is born 'straight'.. some are anatomically lefties and righties.. maybe Miuccia had those (the lefties) in mind when she designed the pants?

Don't give this "being innovative" sh**! Is it really so ground-shaking and new - a mini skirt on a man?! Its simply crossdressing without sense of style. This collection I believe lacks integrity...

As much I have a love/hate feeling towards this collection, whoever said she reference MJ is totally ridiculous!!

I can't wait to hear what Suzy have to say about this collection. She better not be all praise!!

This is beyond ridiculous. I mean, really. I hope this collection bombs like crazy so she learns her lesson. Yeah, I'm all for inovative and stuff, but this is just . . . no.

That made me laugh! Karma for that.

and so the weve come to the cross dressing, gay and straight talk. I think she's got what she wanted ;)

 ummm wtf is this? LOL

Some of it really isn't bad but it's hard to see past the ridiculous stuff.

Amen!

Nothing irks me more than the idea of universal conformity how a man should be a "man" and how a woman should be a "woman".

I love the fact that we're discussing fashion again. It seems before Marc Jacobs' last show, people were sleeping. I'm liking the fact that there's a new energy going on. Things were getting boring.

What? You have totally taken the collection out of context and looked too deeply into the reason as to why the lot dislike it. Our views are not narrow minded. This season's collection is not aesthetically appealing nor wearable for most men.

I also do not think it has anything to do with conforming to one's ideal gender role. You all are looking too deep.
