I'm resisting the urge to say 'ew' simply because she's just a kid. However, suffice it to say she does not fit in with Elle or anything high fashion for that matter.

I personally think there have been worse choices for cover stars. I think whether you like her or not, she's going to be around for a while, maybe the logic to have her as a cover star now is they see the potential she has? She might not be 'Elle' as people have said, but I'm pretty sure she'll grow into the 'Elle' girl type. It works, they've done the shots nicely and styled her well I think.

Emma Watson wasn't always so groomed and high fashion, but she's more than grown into it now. Maybe the same will happen with Miley. Either way, it doesn't bother me her being on the cover.

To be honest, I feel Miley is quite fresh for Elle...though her Hannah Montana
and Disney watever background doesnt really fit Elle.

I like how the way they styled her, I thought this is the best she had ever looked.
She always had this heavy and over the top makeup, for this I like how everything it is quite toned down on her...
Emma Watson would be better candidate than her to grace the cover tbh...but I dont really want to see Emma everywhere

Me not liking her is another thing, but I think she looks quite good for herself on the cover

totally agree...
while definitely not a fan of miley (she should not be on "women's" magazine covers...that's what teen vogue/seventeen, etc. are for), she looks great here and definitely styled differently than i've ever seen her...
the only thing i would have changed is not so much boobs on the cover...
we know she's got 'em, they don't need to be so "in your face"
plus, it made me think of the annie leibovitz/vanity fair scandal...
she was nude but covered there and she got all pissed, here she's putting her sexuality more out there...
i wonder if there will be a backlash to this...

The cover is an immense part of the appeal for me - the editorials would have to be excellent for me to overlook a cover I dislike, and even then, I doubt I'd keep the issue intact, it would be ripped apart for its contents on the first day, rather than continue to disgrace my line of sight.

I don't mind Miley the actress, but to read about her in a woman's magazine, it says nothing to me at all.
