I'm tired of seeing teens on the covers of magazines geared toward grown women. I don't aspire to be Miley Cyrus, Vanessa Hudgens or Emma Watson. Leave these girls for teen Vogue and Seventeen and get some adult women on the cover of major magazines again.

16 year-olds also should not be gracing the covers of Elle. Stick to Teen Vogue! It's just a waste of a cover. Why not give it to somebody like Leighton Meester?

Miley's appeal is far reaching. Teen girls love her, and mother's of teen girls love her. I mean seriously guys, she's probably the biggest female star in the country right now, do you expect her to do anything but land covers? Much younger models appear on covers every single day, so I don't take offense to Miley landing a cover, because unlike the 15 year old models who land covers, Miley brings more to the table than being impossibly thin with a great bone structure. She's a realistic counterpoint to the Toni Garrn's and Jac's of the world. Much needed.

That being said, she looks ridiculous!

I wonder if putting teen stars on the covers is an act of desperation or these mags with their ad pages being down? I also wonder if the gamble for a younger audience is paying off. With all the teenybopper covers at some point they are going to alienate the adult women who can actually buy the clothes featured in the ads in these magazines.

I was wondering the same. IMO, if they were so concerned about $$$, they should have put out two covers - one subscribers cover featuring someone their regular readers can relate to and a newsstand cover that the tweens/teens can buy - this will help them bring in increased sales without alienating their demographic.

I suppose this is no worse than Hayden Panittiere (or however the heck you spell it ), who showed up in my mailbox today ... I certainly would prefer to see adults on my magazine covers, but what can you do ... I'm sure Elle wants the teenyboppers to buy them too.

Although I agree with surrealseven, her breasts being perked up in a push up bra is alttle too "mature" for her age, They accuse Annie L. for that VF photo, but this seems fine for a cover?
