Meisel's pictures look like they took photos of actual photos...if that makes any sense. Sort of like low quality snaps. I checked Vogue's website and they look the same though.

i was sure they were photos of the pages of the mag till i read this comment. i get that it's intentional, i just don't see why. it looks ... bad?

Wintour needs to lead and not follow. She should be trying to break Anna into the big time instead of following the instagirls around. Although, I do have to give her credit. She was certainly onto something with the Sept. 2014 cover. She does have a finger on the pulse of pop culture but like I said she should do more to lead and shape it like she once did.

Really? She's been in the game for little over 2 years now. To say "it's about time" is a bit exaggerated in my opinion. She has nothing to offer to Vogue's reader.

It doesn't stop Wintour use Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid (rumors) for their covers. Kendall debuted in F/W 2014, Gigi in S/S 2015, right? Anna in F/W 2013, so make it 3 years. Ewers > both of them any time. And she made a lot of editorials for US Vogue for the past 2 years. So why not?

In this Instagram era, Anna Ewers need to improve her follower if she want to be a contender for solo cover. Even Karlie Kloss still not able to get that solo cover. And we know how much Wintour love Karlie.

Well, I despise both Gigi and Kendall but they have a lot more to offer to the readers of Vogue than Anna has. They have millions of followers, famous friends, famous families, famous boyfriends you name it. Trust me, the last thing I would want to see is either of them on Vogue, but to say "it's about time Anna gets a solo US Vogue cover" is a bit too much. Not even Karlie Kloss has had a solo cover and I don't see that happening any time soon either. If being featured in a lot of editorials means a warrant for a cover, than a lot of models should get a solo cover.

Kendall & Gigi are celebrity models. Cara got a solo cover because she´s an actress now, her tagline had nothing to do with modeling. Even Karlie got a cover as a "sidekick" with Taylor. I think it´s clear than a model will only get a solo cover if she´s something more than just a model.
I´d love to see Anna on a cover as part of an ensemble with all the faces the mag has been using lately that are not the usual... Aya, Imaan, Xiao...
