US Vogue May 2016 : Taylor Swift by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

I'm really looking forward to Aya Jones' ed :D
Thanks for the review.

I don't mind the cover. But that doesn't mean I like the fact that Taylor Swift is gracing it. Next!

When's the June issue gonna be out?

 That's exactly how I feel after that review. Thanks for posting though!

I feel like month after month I'm growing more disillusioned and with this magazine. It's always a list of random people who's actual profession simply seems to elude me. Only looking forward to Sarah Moonves' story with Demarchelier.

Not shipping them, but Gigi and Zayn's photos are so cute. They look happy, like young people in love.

Zayn Malik is 5′ 9″ and Gigi Hadid is 5′ 10″ yet they are the practically the same height (his hair is totally giving him the illusion of at least 3 inches haha) while she is in heels? Hmmm..... very awkward.

Also that handstand shot made me laugh out loud. I wonder if an intern had to hold her legs up for the shot

That's why they made boxes and shoe lifts, so male celebrities can look taller than female celebrities.

Hmm, 'Special Forces' is the first edit by Mert & Marcus that I enjoy in a looooong time in US Vogue since 'Bodies of Work' in 2011 and that was mostly due to the casting and styling. The composition and lighting seems much more tame and fresh for these two. Although, Anna not all that conversing to me, I quite like it. Thanks kroqjock, for the scan!

In love with Anna Ewers by M&M editorial. She's gorgeous. Love the sporty styling and the energy!

I have to hand it to US Vogue and Tonne Goodman for photographing Taylor Swift in an entirely different light. American Vogue tend to stear down a safe route when shooting their cover subjects, so I commend them for doing something different. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott are slowly but surely becoming fast favourites of Anna Wintour's, arent they! Two covers in a row and I cannot even remember the last cover Mario Testino shot.

Anna Ewers' story is fanatstic! My only gripe is that it should've been longer.

That Anna Ewers is one of the most beautiful editorials I've seen they've produced so far. My goodness, every shot is strong. Beautiful!

Ewers' ed is the only decent thing this magazine has come up with in years. She looks hot. It's not perfect cause in a way it lacks a certain spark, but it's not her fault. And I can't get over how cute she is... If I was a woman I would like to look like that.

M&M don't really suit US Vogue for me... can't like anything they do for this magazine.

They should invest more in McDean, Sadli and Hawkesworth.

^ i like what they were going for in the meisel ed but rianne doesn't really do it for me

Meisel's pictures look like they took photos of actual photos...if that makes any sense. Sort of like low quality snaps. I checked Vogue's website and they look the same though.
