Poor Testino.. I used to dislike his work for US Vogue, but there are some great covers and eds he shot recently. I don't think M&M should replace Testino for the magazine, because if the duo do that thing over and over again I would get sick of it.

Yes I agree. His cover for US Vogue are most of the time a pleasure for they eye. The one with Penelope Cruz was the best. This cover is nice, but can't top that one. I don't care if M&M would shoot more often a cover, but not all the time. Like VP is ok: Mario S, I&V, M&M. they all get their cover. But please let M&M not replace Testino!

Yes, each and every photographer has their merits, so it's about finding the right mix of styles for the magazine, so that the golden light of a Testino celebrity portrait plays off against the coldness of Steven Klein's work, which in turn, contrasts with a series of group shots by Meisel, and perhaps something by Richardson, with a tiny sliver of vulgarity, to add a hint of spice, something tongue-in-cheek (but that's as far as the tongue goes, because this is US Vogue).
