US Vogue September 2013 : Jennifer Lawrence by Mario Testino

I was so excited about Jennifer being a cover star of September issue that there was no chance I wouldn't be kinda disappointed by the result.
Not what I expected, but still nice.

I was so excited for this edition, I imagined a photo from the waist with a big Dior dress, not this stupid closeup, I think Mert & Marcus would have done better! So far this year Vogue has not had a good cover! is so depressing

Apart from Elle, The September issues are so bland and disappointing. I love Jennifer Lawrence and I was lookin forward to have this issue, but this is really cheesy. It looks like one of Lucky and Allure covers Yes I wish it was by Mert and Marcus. Its a September issue there should be the glams and something that screams fabulous! You are Vogue not Vanity Fair.

i was hoping for Mert & Marcus as well for this cover. She has an amazing body disappointed Anna went for a face shot.

At least it's not a gray background against a red masthead. I agree that is looks bland for September, but I have always thought of American Vogue as a magazine that will focus more on the coverstar and their sales rather than fashion. I don't blame them, it's a business and they need to sell.

I like Jennifer Lawrence and I think she's very pretty, but from that preview I can see that it's not the best we have seen. I hope she wears spme couture in the editorial. Will wait for HQ to make a final judgment

It's always hard to get a clear idea of what a cover truly looks like before a HQ image is released but so far I think it's a pretty decent cover. I'm glad that Jen finally nabbed a cover of Vogue and I like the way she's styled even if they didn't go all out and do something that screams 'fashion' like they typically do for a September cover.

Like many others, I need to see this in HQ before I can judge it properly. But, I also agree that a fashion shot instead of a close-up would be better suited to the September issue. So, shame on Anna.
