The only girls in the line up that are really worth something right not for the company and that they should keep signed on is Adriana, Alessandra and Heidi....maybe KK but we know that isn't happening. these girls deserve to keep their wings. And happy you were wrong Heidi was not famous when she was signed on to be an angel it was 1997 when she was signed on and it was backstage at the 1997 fashion show in Feb of 1997 that she really hit fame when people started calling her the body.
Adriana and Alessandra sell the best. It's been said and proven with the public, they are the publics favorites, among men and women and are VS's top stars. Adriana to me was VS's very first risk...because she wasn't that famous when they signed her in the summer of 00 she had been working for them since early 1998, but she still wasn't that famous. But they signed her and pushed her and pretty much made her their next superstar over the years. they've really made her into who she is and she's helped herself by doing maybelline as well....and I wish she'd do SI (like she's been offered) but until they give her agent what they want they won't agree to it. It's clear to me that Heidi will be retiring as soon as they can get her too, it's very obvious that they are pushing Adriana to be the main face and star of the company (while she's pretty much got that down they want her name solidified and it's only about 75% there, even though next to Heidi she's the most famous angel) they are def pushing her name to the public so she can officially become the lead angel...making sure she's doing all the signings, tons of interviews, and making sure in the cbs version her name is edited in 50% more than all the models....and with her solo christmas commercials and blah blah. Then there is ale who is miss catalog queen and that's obvious that she'll be promoted after Adriana...but honestly after them and maybe KK (but she's pretty much gone) there really isn't anyone that the public is latching on to. While Adriana turned out to be a great risk...these other girls really aren't. Sure, when Adriana and Ale were the baby angels Tyra and Heidi got most of the press but the two baby angels were so beautiful and intriguing that they still got a good amount of attention...now it's like Adriana! Alessandra! All you other girls! It's quite bad...
Honestly they could do this and I'd be happy

Karolina (they could keep her around..but they won't ugh)
Doutzen (to me has the looks for an angel, and she's doing well except the cussing on a public news show)
Emanuela (selita obviously isn't selling...give Emanuela a chance...she can hold her own against Adriana in campaigns and commercials...that's not easy to do)

Like I've said I love Marisa now but she doesn't fit angel to me, Miranda is just to cute IMO, Selita just no.

Also they can't get rid of Angels and they won't...even then they really couldn't call them contract models...because they have angels and then they have contract models as well.

Personally I think they should do another Angels Across America tour this year...not cancel the show but maybe do the tour in the summer when people are out of school and more apt to travel. They could really introduce the angels and give Adriana the chance to really lead the squad around and the new girls to get their names out there. I think it's time for another tour..

IMHO, sometimes when we rave on and on and on about a certain girl and put her on a pedestal like she IS in fact a female god, it, sooner or later, turns lots of other people completely off to that girl completely, completely....even if they are a huge fan of that girl themselves. I hate to see that happen in all fairness to the girl. Things are as they are and no reason to repeat over and over again the same comments. I definitely am NOT saying this to argue or anything like that. The turn-off is beginning to happen, big time, and I don't want to see that. I truly don't.
I hope everyone understands what I'm attempting to say and does not take it as an attack because it most definitely is NOT. I just want to enjoy all the threads and not get that feeling of fingernails scratching a chalkboard when I read the same thing over and over. K? It would be the same as me talking over and over and over about one girl I absolutely can't stand...I cringe when I see her or hear about her. But, it's not fair or nice to be so vocal about it. I'd probably come across as obsessed and the day I get obsessed with anything or anybody is the day I will check myself into the funny farm. :yes:

So I saw the christmas commercal wh Kk in it, and it's definitely her. Do I dunno lol..
The models in order of appearance are Miranda she is going up the stairs, then it cuts to emanu, then it shows Kk,

It's definitely KK, it keeps airing on MTV, it shows Miranda like looking up on the first few stairs, then it cuts to emanuela wearing that bra and skirt thing looking down, then it cuts to KK who's outside, its showingher from like an underneath view, its the same commercial that shows adriana sitting there looking at the camera straight on and her hair is like falling down, like she just jumped or something.

Well her not being in the main stream 60 second one or 30 second or 15 second during the airing of the christmas commercial still pretty much shows she's leaving...along with all the other signs. I honestly wish they'd get rid of other angels before KK...when they removed her video from the show site...I was like well that pretty much does it. Like I said there are other angels I'd perfer to see gone....

I'm with you, CC. KK is just such a fixture for VS. It's almost like a friend is going away for a long time and you don't know when you will see him/her again. Waaaaa! She is definitely waaaaay better than others I can think of! Waaaaaaaaay! But then, VS tried to do the Return to Glamour and it didn't work AGAIN. I just can't figure out where their heads are, certainly not on their shoulders!
Gisele was the one who set the bar for everyone, I think. And now, you have ALE and ADRI (I love both of them)and I really like MIRANDA. But, VS without KK? Just not right.

Some questions I have about the show: When they go backstage to change their outfits, do they have a change room or do they just end up completely nude? Isn't that really risky? And what do they do to prevent their bikini bottoms from rising up?

yes they change there, i believe the wear some invisible panties or really smal thongs, about the braa they just have the one they give them at the show, remembr the time gisele was changing on the scottish segment from 2006 show you could see she took her bra off LOL of course couldnt see anything but you can notice she doesnt have anything underneath

The girls all change back and they don't wear anything underneath, it's quite common in the fashion industry and you expect people to be professional and not yell I saw a boob or anything else. Usually they change so fast you can't tell anyway, and the people aren't really allowed to film in those areas anyway...most of the time they are shooed away. Sometimes they do catch a model real fast but 98% time the cameras aren't allowed back there for that reason, and the other reason being they get in the way.

As for the return of glamour...let's not forget everyone was pretty much in love with this show until the show actually aired. I think VS did fine, I think the set, the clothing and etc were great and they did return to glamour, I think CBS screwed it up. VS set it up so models like Adriana and Alessandra would be the stars and they didn't want KK to be picked on because other models had fumbles (carmen got her cape caught on stage in the first taping) but CBS decided to edit it horiblly, make it the Heidi show again, and make KK look like a victim again...hoenstly it's time to switch stations.
