Escale A L.A.
Lara Stone, Freja Beha Erichsen, Natasha Poly, Arizona Muse, Isabeli Fontana and Raquel Zimmerman, by Inez and Vinoodh

Part 1

i've seen the whole ed, and without a doubt Lara outshines everyone, she's the star of the ed... B)
and thanks to Melanie, who chose the outfits perfectly, she's a great addition for the magazine.

Some of these - mainly Freja's, Natasha's and some of Lara's shots - are way too dark and messy and you can barely see the clothes. And can VP please come up with another way to style Freja other than using that stupid punk/rock chick look over and over again? Disappointed by Isabeli's parts, all her pictures look the same and rather boring. That being said, most of the main ed is completely amazing.

My favorite shots are
Arizona in Nina Ricci, Stella McCartney, Blumarine, Bottega Veneta
Natasha in Dolce & Gabbana
Lara in Tommy Hilfiger, Maison Martin Margiela, Balmain, John Galliano (love that she's lying on the floor in that one with no one paying attention to her, hehe)
Freja in Alexander McQueen, Emilio Pucci, Versace

Stunning

As for the other eds, I really love all of them. So good to see Anna S & Snejana becoming VP regulars (not that it's that surprising, they always walk the Balman & Isabel Marant shows so they're clearly Alt-favorites).

Thank you so much for posting, visualoptimism! :flower:

Thanks for posting the complete ed, visualoptimism!:flower:

It's always nice to see such a long each-brand-per-page ed! So still no Balenciaga this season.

And I really want to know if there is a new fashion director listing in the masthead page? Could someone who already got this issue tell me? Thanks in advence!:flower:

My thoughts exactly! I'm getting bored of her. It's always the same. I'm a bit disappointed by Arizona's shots. I love Rogue Aura and Zoom editorial. Those two are my favorites.

they still don't have a fashion director...
it's strange they have editor inchief for beauty, bijoux but not fashion
Geraldine is editor, Anastasia editor at large

"Escale A L.A." is disappointing, there is too much going on, without any real focus on the clothes....the ed is also too long....

From the eds that I have seen so far this had to be my favourite issue in years. Also pleased that there seems to be a little more variety in models used.

I just can't bring myself to like the new 'look' of the magazine; the new fonts, the layouts, etc. It ruins the whole magazine and makes it look cheaper.

me too,
Freja can do much better and more than the repetitive punk rocker look
