Vogue Paris March 2011 : Saskia De Brauw by Mert and Marcus

I read the cover was inspired by a movie; what movie?

What happens to her neck? .. and that expression :glare:.. Terrible cover

I like it...very fragile. But this is the first thing that sprung to mind:

But whatever, I'm gonna get this one anyway. Even if it's just for the sake of it being Carine's last issue.

God, that cover is so weird, I was expecting so much more...

^^lol Amanda does it much better.

I love that for her final issue, she picked such a horrid cover. Way to stick it to them Carine

Not nearly powerful enough to be Carine's last cover at VP. Sad...going out with a whimper instead of a bang. With all the incredible girls who have worked with her over all the years, cant believe they didnt go with a multi-cover of the VP superstars. Oh well. Farewell Carine and thanks for the memories. :(

Saskia De Brauw slays, I love the cover, never expected her to be on the cover, I am truly happy to see her.

Not sure yet how I feel, I need to see a scan. The contents BETTER impress me.

For comparison's sake, here is CArine's first cover:

I actually like it, it s not dramatic but it s soft and pretty; something different for VP.

I like it. It looks a bit like an older cover and it's soft and romantic. I hope the other models in the issue don't disappoint.

and another kristen mcmenamy lookalike.....lol
mert and markus did it with iris....now its saskias turn!!
:-)

kristen mcmenamy is great so i don't mind another kristen clone or not..

btw, the "fantaistie" font is fugly.......:sick:

This is exactly the direction Xavier Romatet wants for the magazine. The cover is a lovely way for Carine to exit. I'm looking forward to seeing how Alt takes it from here.

What does he want? Something girlier and softer?

You have to remember, Carine may have been fired and this was the scheduled cover/issue for March, since as everything is shot in advance, and had she known it would be her last, we may have been looking at something else completely.

I want to see the contents, the cover may grow on me.

Will miss her as VP Editor.....

Gorgeous! Love the fact that it isn't your Typical French Vogue cover. It's not that STRONG for a farewell issue but it's still beautiful for a cover! I love it!

Next issue would be Emmanuelle's cover right?

Goodbye Carine
