Vogue Paris September 2010 : Marion Cotillard by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

I loved the video! I didn't know I&V photographed with different cameras at the same time, I thought that was amazing. I loved Carine's personality when she was styling Constance, she just seems so cool and fun. I do not understand french but I loved it, thanks FrenchCactus for uploading the video!

Can't wait to see the rest of Marion's or Constance's photos! Kate's ed seems a bit boring to me, though...

^^ Touche.

the issue seems ... decent ...
nothing like september-striking. just a normal issue.

I agree. A couple of eds are nice but if I didn't know anything I would assume this would be an October issue. It's such a disappointment that the contributors are still the same. Save Marion's involvement, it's like they didn't even make this special.

I think I'm the first to ask this:

How many pages?

Oh and when do you expect this will hit US Barnes & Nobles and stuff?

Kate's ed is nothing new. Her recent work is uninspiring.
This issue looks boring as a September issue. There are some great features including Marion's but I don't care about a celeb's spread even if it's great.

I don't think it was mentioned but Une fille, un style is Alexa chung.

You're welcome for the video ;)

I hate to say this, but I really don't like the eds Emmanuelle Alt styled.
Kate Moss has no sparkle in "Kate dans la peau" and I have the impression I've seen this ed a thousand times already.
And the one done by Terry Richardson, I know it's supposed to be funny, but I find it rather tacky. The styling is lazy: the same uniforms are used on different pictures.

And I just realized Kate's ed is "Kate dans la peau" and Constance's ed is "Paris dans la peau". Can't they work on their titles a little bit more?

emm, thats actually a usual technique in journalism esp. in sleek`s- play on words `kate in skin` (lether they meant) and `paris in the flesh`, so its not abscense of fantasy or creativity, rather otherwise

I'm French so I perfectly understand the play on words :flower:;)
The point is they are using the expression "dans la peau" for the titles of 2 eds in the same issue.

^that is the technique- pun or eggcorn- as you wish, to use it twice in different senses, titles in sleek- its an absolutely special theme, and nothing can be that bad as in harpers bazaar and Italian Vogue (each issue in bazaar called `perfect at every age` or kind of, all titles are `whats sexy /chic/ white/sophicticated/next etc now`, `shape-something (new or shape of the season) in Vogue italia - variations on chic, without fail -something with the word `poetic` (spirit/mood etc). so, comparing to other editions, paris Vogue still can be proud of their imagination ...

That's such a disappointing issue, Marion was unexpected for me and I don't really like the cover, its not bad but not amazing.
None of the editorials interest me, I love the fact Kate is in the issue, but she looks kind of tired here. Thanks for posting scans.

ugh terry's ed is so mundane and uninspired.i would've taken any of his other 'vulgar' works over this.
