Yay or Nay?

I think a big factor in this "Yay or Nay?" involves the fact you're in Business School (Post #338). So it isn't as if this is going to be any sort of easy decision to go with either one. I'll go Yay! on the first one, but only a (Slight) Yay! The second jacket gets a (Moderate) Yay! from me. I would probably go with the second one if I was choosing. But of course, it's your call.

Now on to the knock off Rick Owens boots in Post #340. These just look like a tough alternative to sheepskin boots. Almost like Dr. Martens meets UGGs. There are much better options if you want a tough pair of boots. This is NOT one of them. Knock offs or not, these don't tickle my fancy one iota. So Nay! to both these and whatever the non-knock off boots look like.

candyperfumegirl, NAY! combat boots are so done and so repeated. i cringe when i see anyone with combat boots.

la bordelique.. i'm actually more drawn to the first coat. the fur collar on the second one just isn't work for me...
it looks like an afterthought, like it doesn't belong on that jacket.

there's something about them that's just off for me..
might be the sole?

I can't wear sneakers to my job, but casual shoes are OK. Heels are really torture for me for all day wear, but I am worried that these will be too slouchy? I was thinking with a midcalf skirt, tights, and a cool blazer it might look good.

As much as I'm not really into brogues and oxfords, I'm not sold on desert boots either. So I can't really give much love to these. These are... okay at best to me. So it's (slight) Nay! Still, don't let my disapproval tell you otherwise. Go get these shoes if they tickle your fancy.
