Didn't someone say that ALT praised Whitney Port and said that she could be a model? If so, we already know his opinion can be bought. Whitney Port is the human equivalent of tofu.
The photos I posted of Raina are pre-show. Right now, she has a boxy upper body and the torso of a man. Her shoulders are too broad. I'll take a wait and see attitude with regards to her muscles.
IMHO, neither Raina or Krista belonged in the final two. Krista has a great body and fabulous skin but she has the face of a man (and not in a good, androgynous way) and looks 86 years old. Raina has a great face but a terrible body. It's too bad we cannot stick Raina's head on Krista's body.
Of the final four, I was most excited about Alexandra. Outside of Diane from Cycle 5, she has one of the best plussie bodies this competition has ever seen. They really should have just selected her the winner.
As for Krista's attractiveness, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There are plenty of models that have done quite well (Meghan Collison, Diandra Forrest, Eliza Cummings, Lakshmi Menon) that I do not consider to be pretty.
Beautiful is what I would use to describe Linda, Naomi, and Christy. I would not use it to describe Kate Moss, Grace Jones, or Gisele Bundchen. They have striking faces but were not, IMHO, beautiful. I disagree that one must be classically beautiful to be a successful model.

I can see ALT's point of view reflected in current and historical high fashion preferences, yes Angelea's pose and expression were bad, but I can see a tweaked version of that photo in a fashion magazine, she reminded me of Stacey McKenzie. Same thing with Jessica getting FCO for the faux photo shoot, yes her face was dead, but US Vogue has published many photos of newbie models with dead faces jumping in the air. Now in my opinion, I don't think he knows what the heck he is talking about when he has commented on what is or isn't CoverGirl or Seventeen Magazine and I think the deference to him on that front is not a good thing, but that feeds into my long-standing seething anger 
at Tyra and her bizarre denial that she became a superstar in the modeling industry as a swimsuit and catalog model, with a little commercial and lifestyle modeling on the side. Tyra definitely had a respectable high fashion career, but the 
was no where near the editorial queen that she tries to present herself as on ANTM.
The bottom line is that Raina got increasingly bulkier as the competition went on and while I think that he was more complimentary of Raina than he has been given credit for, ALT knows that there are more examples of old and uber skinny models getting work than shapeless models with gorgeous faces, plus any model starting out after the age of 20 is considered old so Raina at 22/23 is "old" too. I think that he would have had a bigger problem holding his head up high at the high fashion water cooler, if he supported Raina over Krista and dare I say Angelea. When it comes to plus-size Alexandra he is not an expert in that world even though he advises "real" women like Jennifer Hudson and Michelle Obama, and when you think about it their sartorial choices have not been the best. IIRC his advice to Jennifer Hudson about her Oscar gown was not well received.
So to me, ALT is being true to his high fashion roots and his biases reflect the biases of the overall industry, the only thing is that he has been in this game for a long, long time and his frame of reference is decades, so someone who has only been following fashion for five or ten years may not always get where he is coming from. I do have a problem with ALT's influence when it comes to commercial and mainstream modeling, but again I have more of a beef with Tyra on that front than ALT.

Yes, I noticed that Angelea's photo was quite blurry. Since the pictures this cycle have been quite awful, I decided it did not matter. Angelea was never going to win regardless of how blurry her photos turned out or did not.
Of the final two I preferred...neither. I honestly feel the final four should have been the first four contestants out (Gabrielle, Naduah, Ren, and Simone). Neither Raina nor Krista were good choices to me.

i was really surprised that krista won, but i have to give it to her, she is a very good model.
i think krista will get a lot more runway gigs as raina will get tons of photos. raina, i think, has soooo much potential.

You guys were really surprised Krista won? She had the FCO and challenge wins for all the last few episodes. It was so obvious she was going to win. The judges were so biased to her. Her CG picture was awful, awful, awful. Though her ugly pretty shot was really good. Still she's old and looks it, and is never going to have an amazing HF career unless ALT does something to help her. At least that's what I think.
And Alex looked so Toni Garrn in her last photo it wasn't even funny. She should have won. She was the best one there, and probably needed the win more than the others.

So happy that Krista won. She was miles better than Raina due to many reasons but most of all the obvious complete package.
I actually picked Krista as the winner from the PR shots. Will definitely follow her career.

I wasn't really surprised until the end (since my CABLE WENT OUT DURING THE DELIBERATION
) and I had no idea who won. But when ALT said he was emotional 
looking at Krista's ugly-pretty picture, I knew she would most likely win since Tyra listens to everything ALT says. For me, there was nothing to be emotional about. I felt Krista's ugly-pretty picture was boring. Same pose, same face. Oh and since when was it okay to praise girls for using cue cards in the commercial? I am not defending Raina here, I'm just wondering why in the beginning the judges would look down on a girl messing up her commercial, and 10 cycles later, it's perfectly fine and acceptable to mess up to the point you use cue cards? Aren't there girls who got eliminated because of that?

I thought she looked like Lara Stone there for a minute. Alexandra was my second choice to win, but honestly, I really don't think she wanted it as much as the other girls. She was always sad and pouty in her interviews on the show.

Well, since I liked Raina a bit more I'm happy she came 2nd, as we know any model with the ANTM title attached to them is already at a disadvantage even before they work. I'm interested to watch both girls careers 
I'm really struggling to understand why Kirsta has been trying out since she was 18... did she never think of going into an agency? If she got signed at 18 she could have been quite successful IMO

Raina's CG shot beats Krista's by a long shot...but I'm also glad Raina didn't win. She will definitely be more successful without ANTM stamped to her forehead.
