Boyfriend Jeans

I have a pair of jeans that sort of resemble a boyfriend cut style...but they're as baggy in the butt. I'm on the fence whether I want to buy a pair though..i kinda want more tailored looking jeans..

yeah^^^^^^^^^^^^^exactly, well they are wide leg bf jeans with a higher rises , which you can get at H&M , but since you live in the southewest , try trouser jeans from gap, they are roomy and comfy like bf jeans , but have a smart tailored feel, and they makesure your butt isnt sagging in the jeans...

those shoes I have on are actually rounded toe - I don't know if I misunderstood your comment melt?
thanks everyone for all the compliments!

No, you anderstood fine... the shoes you have on seem pointy to me... nevertheless, in yesterday's shows, the japanese showed pointy shoes for spring... ^_^

maybe they wiil return after all and as a matter of fact, they are easier to wear with non-skinny trousers and boyfriend jeans...

This picture is from revolve clothing. They are the boycut jeans in the Chicago wash.
Maybe it's just me but I don't think those look anything like boyfriend jeans - they look more like a regular bootcut/ flare to me (they're very tight on the thighs)

To me, a boyfriend jean is more like the ones Carmen Kass wore in the Gap advertising campaign:

I wish I could find a full length pic but I think the bagginess is evident from the pic :)

^ this is it! Looks a lot like my Miss Sixty pair from summer 2004

ooh I like how those gap ones look - the ones I have are starting to get too big and though it looks fine from the front from the rear its not too pretty

^ Oh, the gap ones are lush, they look really nice and baggy, yet somehow still have a nice shape! I haven't tried them on yet for fear of shattering the illusion, but hope they look as nice on... ;)

cool sneakers, flats, sandals

some people wear them with high heels, stilettos sorta thing, i think it looks tacky

yeah high heels wouldn't work, but wouldn't flats cause the pants to drag on the ground?

Bought a pair from topshop yesterday. Quite excited about wearing them in a sea of skinny jeans.

^^^^which ones did you buy ??? Also yeah, good idea to wear bf jeans now , a year from now , i think everyone will be wearing them , sooo much more comfy than those horrid skinny jeans.

I love diesel's low rise stone washed, slouchy boyfriend jeans,£130 and Paper Denim&Cloth's high waited soft dark denim jeans for £120 but i cant believe i found dome gorgeous boyfriend jeans in Primark for £12 which are almost identical to the Gap boyfriend jeans

^ The ones I bought are called the 'Boy' jeans. They're really comfy and so much more flattering than skinnies, although it is weird to not see the shape of my ankles after wearing skinnies non stop for the past year. Funny thing is I don't live in the most fashionable city and all these girls with skinnies keep giving me weird looks, but I find it quite amusing.

well...in north america ...ive seen skinnies mainly in nyc and LA and salesgirls in stores (who have to wear them) to push the look, most girls here wear bootcuts , but i dont know why , i just dont like framing my legs, i prefer having a more snug top and looser bottom , or loose top and loose bottom. I have a feeling this trend will explode by next year ,accelerated by the fact kate moss wore them. omg i saw 3 girls this week wearing the loose boyfriend jeans with grey tshirts rolled up with a brown belt...it looked nice...im going to get the same look lol...those boy jeans look like a good way to start...

yay someone else likes them too! I was kinda worried this trend was going to die before it even started. It annoys me when all those skinny jeans-wearing people keep asking me why I bought 'regular' jeans, and I keep going " No, ,these are boyfriend jeans!"

Any ideas on how else to wear them. I've been wearing them with a fitted black top so far..

kimono tops , halters, tuxedo tops, dolman tops ( they look good with them ) , rolled up shirts ( ie like kate moss did with that grey shirt) , banded sweatshirts, camis , puff sleeve shirts
