Oh those days!
It's so weird because this collection feels very 2005 actually compared to his own Galliano collection that has a more timeless appeal.
This was tamer, more commercial and "responding to the critics" Galliano.
The eveningwear is just magical! He is one of those few who know/knew how to make an effortless "overdesigned" gown.
Looking back, Galliano had so many "lives" at Dior and yet, he managed everytime to make people excited, to create conversation and above all, to have a commercial success!
MGC is trying hard to bring back the beret look but she fails. Look at this, a beret, a sweater dress and a croc embossed flat boot and it's effective. You need some type of genius to make a maximum impact with a minimal styling!
And God! Nobody on their phone, people clapping when they see a great dress and the real joy of seeing an amazing outfit! I miss that!
And Galliano's bows are still as amazing as they were. He knew he killed it that day!
