"Thank heaven for Gucci" will surely be the rallying cry from Victoria Beckham, Paris Hilton and other "It" girls for whom bubble gum pink is sweet as candy.

i soo agree...paris should wear all of this.

i have to agree with salvatore and spike...
this has to be one of the worse "collections" (i'll use that term loosely) i've seen this season (and that's saying something)...
last season it was part michael kors-part burberry, this season it's oscar de la renta/burberry/balenciaga/versace (that pink jacket!!)

i mean i saw that black/white large floral jacket (on sasha) on tim gunn's guide to style last night!! from macy's!!

there is no cohesiveness from season to season...
it's just a mish-mash of someone else's ideas...
"let's throw this on a wall and see what sticks..."

I really like the two little dresses on Freja and Snejana, but the evening dresses aren't really anything special IMO.

Im really confused on how I feel about this collection overall, there are some pieces I really like, such as the pink short dresses and the black and white graphic short dresses, and the killer booties, but most of it looks so brash and theres way to much yellow, and like many others Im unsure of who the Gucci women is anymore, every season it completely changes.

Are the photos in the proper order of the show? It seems odd that it goes from prints to plaid and then back to prints....it's alittle random. But the booties are awesome!!!

i hate everything! it's a mixture of what's been done before: nothing new... NOTHING interesting! retire Frida (or whatever the eff her name is)! yuck!!!

Bring Tom Ford BACK! we should do a riot! What has happened to Gucci, its totally lost its luxurious image and gained this ugly trend wh*re look. Its sad. The haiur and makeup is cool though.

i hate this collection, hate the colours and everything..
besides that there's nothing new :(

I so disagree. His designs were like architecture with the amount of detail put into each piece. Frida's Gucci is below average. Why? Because it references so many different designers that you could easily go to, high-end as well as high street. What is she offering that I can't get anywhere else? What is covetable? Nothing. Gucci is a luxury fashion house. This that Frida is offering does not justify the luxury pricetags that you will see in the boutiques. And the thing she is semi-good at (accessories), she hits & misses thoses.

And Tom was not so much about sex as he was about sensuality and the idea of a woman. I really believe he adores women and the absolutely beauty of women and he wanted to put that into his designs.

(This discussion pops up each season, but I'm always ready discuss it each time. )

I will defend Tom to my death. People need to get off the whole "oversexed" kick. Sex was simply the context given to his clothes. Through styling and advertising, sex became the Gucci image. However, in a vacuum, stripped of the context of the Gucci lifestyle, his clothes were thoughtfully designed, detailed and flattering to no end. While Frida designs a simple dress and guzzies it up with prints or pretty color, or a wide belt, Tom created standalone dazzling garments. The detail on a Tom Ford for Gucci garment was incredible, not to mention authentically Tom Ford. He had a very signature look that he applied to tackle a number of different themes. He always worked in similiar color families, had very precise architectural ideas and a very glamorous, but dark feel of nostalgia. All of this defined his entire career. Frida is just schizo and picks a different decade every season.

The indy is hideous. Gucci bags used to be a wet dream. Also, his shoes weren't "trendy". Under his direction, Gucci made some really fabulous footwear that was sexy while still being very unique. I can't see him making patent leather oxford ankle boots if he were still at Gucci because they're EVERYWHERE. All of this stuff, is everywhere.
