GIRL AT THE PARTY
Before Michael was the patriarch of the infamous Lohan clan, he was just a boy from Long Island who grew up to trade commodities on the New York Stock Exchange. Between [edited], alcohol, fast cars and a constant flow of money coming in, Lohan played as hard as he worked. However, he was about to meet someone at a party that would make him an honest man. While at a black-tie event, he decided to steal a bottle of champagne. The bottle fell from underneath his arm as he was scurrying toward the exit. As Lohan reached for the bottle, his head hit someone trying to help him. It was a young, beautiful woman. That’s how he met Dina.

THE PARENT, TRAPPED
“Everybody called us the Brady Bunch,” boasted Lohan on family life upon marrying Dina. However, after he was accused of insider trading, he was sent to prison. Once he was released, Lohan chaperoned Lindsay for her final audition in “The Parent Trap.” “That’s when I realized she had the talent to go far in this business,” he recalled, his eyes welling with tears. While filming “The Parent Trap” in California, Lindsay was hospitalized following an asthma attack. Violating his parole to fly out west and see her, he was sent back to prison. Years later Lindsay would express the heartache she felt in her song “Confessions of a Broken Heart,” where she confessed, “I wait for the postman to bring me a letter.” “I wrote her everyday,” Michael confirmed. “Dina hid the letters from the kids.”

‘I WANT MY FAMILY BACK’
“I miss the girl I fell in love with,” reminisced Lohan of ex-wife Dina. “She’s not the same person anymore.” It all started when he caught Dina’s 48-year-old brother smoking [edited] on the side of their garage. “Guess what your brother was doing,” Lohan asked his wife after finding her drinking a bottle of wine behind a plant in their bedroom the night of their son’s First Holy Communion party.

FATHER OF THE YEAR
As I heard his story, I realized for myself that the humble man before me wasn’t thirsting fame. The reason he is in the media is to protect his family. What parent wouldn’t do the same? He does a lot that goes unnoticed, such as leading families affected by [edited] to the proper rehabilitation program and preparing to open his own wellness rehabilitation center in Beverly Hills. That’s why I awarded him a Father of the Year certificate. I hope to be half the father he is!

i wonder if michael was banned from having any job in financial services or on wall street after his conviction. id like to see him on the celebrity apprentice instead of lindsay.

Lindsay Lohan: I Don't Do Paperwork

Lindsay Lohan does not fill out paperwork when she takes expensive necklaces out of jewelry stores ... she leaves that to her people -- so says Lindsay to her pals.


Lindsay's freedom is riding on her claim that the Venice, CA jewelery store owner loaned her the necklace in question. Lindsay is telling friends ... "I don't deal with things like that."

Lindsay is passing the whole incident off as a "misunderstanding." Problem is -- when she figured it out, why didn't she just return the item to the store instead of sending an underling to the LAPD?

Worst case scenario -- Lindsay could face felony grand theft charges which carries a penalty of three years in prison.

Lindsay Lohan will be charged with felony grand theft ... TMZ has learned.


Sources connected with the case tell TMZ the L.A. County District Attorney will file the case as early as Monday.

Lindsay is accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, CA jewelry store on January 22. Surveillance video from the store shows Lindsay with the necklace in question and there are photos of her wearing what appears to be the same necklace a week later.

If convicted ... Lindsay faces a maximum of three years in state prison.

Sources connected with Lindsay tell TMZ ... Lindsay says she'll fight the charge and she's sticking with her story that she took the jewelry on loan.

The case could also have a dramatic impact on her ongoing DUI case in Beverly Hills since she is currently on probation.

Lindsay Lohan Prosecutor -- Deja Vu

TMZ has learned veteran L.A. County Deputy District Attorney Danette Meyers -- one of the toughest prosecutors in the D.A.'s office -- has been tapped to prosecute Lindsay Lohan ... again.


Meyers prosecuted Lindsay in her DUI case, so she is no stranger to the actress. But, as TMZ first reported ... Lindsay will now face felony grand theft and felonies are Danette Meyers' specialty.

Meyers has prosecuted cases for more than two decades and has become a go-to person in a variety of felony trials. She has been named Prosecutor of the Year twice.

After Lindsay violated her probation, Meyers sought jail time for the actress.

Meyers, who is a candidate for L.A. County District Attorney, could not be reached for comment.

This might be the perfect storm for Lindsay, if we see a whale in the back of the courtroom, we will know what is really going on here...As they say in LA: If the glove fits, you must acquit, or whatever that saying is...

In the moments after RadarOnline.com broke the world exclusive news that the LAPD had obtained a search warrant to look for a stolen necklace in Lindsay Lohan's house, the actress turned to a close adviser and claimed she had never been in the jewelry store which reported the left.

Lindsay's big lie fell eventually fell apart as more and more information was released, but it still shocked those close to her.

Now, she's facing felony grand theft charges, which could lead to her probation from her prior DUI case being revoked. The theft charges are expected to be filed this week, possibly as early as Monday.

"Lindsay read Radar's story about the necklace and freaked out," a source close to the Mean Girls star told RadarOnline.com. "She couldn't believe that cops had obtained a search warrant for her house.

"She told advisers close to her that she was never in Kamofie & Company, the jewelry store that she allegedly stole the necklace from. When it was pointed out to Lindsay that there was surveillance video of her in the store, the denials stopped."

People close to Lindsay say she has major issues telling the truth, the source told RadarOnline.com. "People in Lindsay's inner circle say she lies all of the time. Some people believe one of the reasons she does is because Lindsay is trying to be a people pleaser."

Others have a more harsh view and recall that when she was found by cops with [edited] in her pants a few years ago, she told them the pants she was wearing weren't hers!

But the jewelry store lie surprised even those very close to her. After RadarOnline.com broke the story that Lindsay was being investigated for theft, a plan was hatched to get the necklace out of Lindsay's house immediately, and for Lindsay to leave the house and not spend the night there.

"Lindsay couldn't get out of her house fast enough," a source close to her told RadarOnline.com exclusively. "She didn't want to be there if the cops did go through with the search warrant -- it would be a nightmare for her.

"Lindsay knew that photographers were going to descend on the scene, and she got the hell out of there."

At this point, Lindsay admitted she had the necklace and told her inner circle she wanted to return it to the store, but it was closed. "Lindsay then sent one of her associates to the police station to turn it in," the source said. "Lindsay checked into a hotel, where she spent the night. She was so paranoid about being arrested that she checked in under an alias."
