Mother Dina Lohan has told PopEater.com that her trouble-courting daughter "is dropping the Lohan and just going by" her first name.

"I don't think it's a smart move," brand strategist Kaira Akita tells us.
"She's been in a position as a celebrity [where it has appeared as if] she's kind of beat the system," Akita says, "so the idea of her going with a one-name moniker makes it appear as if she's higher above us."

"I think we expect our pop stars to have that one-name moniker—for our actors, we look at that different," says Akita, who's an actor herself.
"I don't think it's doing her any favors [to be billed] as, Lindsay the actor."
The PopEater.com report suggests Lohan's, er, Lindsay's reputed name change is more about getting father Michael Lohan out of her life than getting on with her Hollywood career.
Still, Akita says reinventions have to start from the inside. Her rebranding advice?
"I would keep the Lohan, and probably drop the hot-model white dresses going to court," she says.

Sometimes I don't understand why she can't lay off the hair extensions. It's seriously Not A Good Look. Her hair could be nice if the color was not different every two weeks. I heard a blind item years ago about a 'hollywood starlet who secretly has alopecia' but I am pretty sure it was not about Lindsay.

It was only a matter of time until we saw more stalker behavior.

Lindsay Lohan left ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson's house early Monday morning clutching a teddy bear with the words "I love you" written on it, just days after Samantha was caught in a lip lock with another woman.
Lindsay walked over to Sam's house (which is just next door) at 11pm Sunday night. Lilo stayed until 4am, when she returned to her own pad proudly displaying her new bear, which seemed to be a gift from Ronson.
An X17online photographer on the scene tells us:
"It was pretty late but Lindsay didn't look tired at all -- she was beaming! With all her court and family drama going on she still looked happier than she's been in a long time. It was almost like she really wanted to show off her new little toy, which must have been a gift from Sam."
Lindsay was furious after she saw photos of Sam smooching a cute brunette in her Porsche over the weekend.
She even tweeted her dismay to her followers, saying "Funny how I just dropped @samantharonson @lax" with a link to the pix.
But Samantha is apparently desperate to make up with her ex-girlfriend and current neighbor, giving Lindsay the cute bear as an apology.
Samantha and Lindsay have had an on-again, off-again relationship for years. Even though they aren't technically together anymore, after Sam was initially upset that Lindsay was moving in right next door to her in Venice, the girls have gotten friendly again. The pair have been seen out together numerous times and Lindsay even gave her ex a ride to the airport!

Samantha tweeted that she doesn't know anything about a bear, and had slept over in the studio, which means Lindsay must have been trying to deliver this bear at 4am when Samantha wasn't in. Great job, Betty Ford!
