Lindsay Lohan Balks at Picking Up the Bill

Hide your valuables and lock up your liquor: Is that the warning that should herald a visit from Lindsay Lohan? Based on her reputation for having allegedly sticky fingers – with the latest claim from a bar that was nearly left holding the bill for bottles of bubbly – that may not be such a bad idea.

Lohan, 23, was partying at the Crown Bar in Los Angeles Nov. 6, and, according to one onlooker, caused quite a scene when asked to ante up for her drinks.

"Lindsay stormed into the kitchen and grabbed two bottles of really expensive champagne. She finished both bottles with a friend. When the bartender gave her a bill, she had a meltdown," says the source. "She was yelling at him and screaming profanities at everyone. The bar insisted she pay, so she had to call a friend with her credit-card information."

Before the actress left the club around 2:30 a.m., the onlooker says, "She was crying and wanted to go home. She kept saying 'I don't pay for drinks! This is ridiculous! I'm freaking out!' "

Past Incidents

This wasn't the first time Lindsay has been at the center of a sticky-fingers controversy. Some $40,000 worth of Dior baubles went missing from Lindsay's U.K. Elle cover shoot in July, though her mom, Dina Lohan, maintained her daughter's innocence, and Elle later stated the magazine staff "had no reason to believe that Lindsay Lohan was in any way responsible."

In May 2007, Lohan avoided felony grand theft charges when there was insufficient evidence to back a woman's claim that the star had stolen her clothing.

There was, however, no escaping eyewitness reports of Lohan "stealing" Paris Hilton's boyfriend in spring 2006. She and Stavros Niarchos were first spied together five days before he and Hilton broke up – hooking up at the Manhattan clubs Butter and Bungalow 8.


Minks and Marilyn

Drinks and dudes aren't the only magnets for Lohan. She has also been accused of lifting the formula for a fake tan spray, a stranger's mink coat and even looks for her photo shoots (take that Marilyn Monroe!).

Inevitably, what goes around comes around, and this year Lohan found herself a victim of a robbery in her Hollywood Hills home while she was in New York. "The safe was ripped out of the wall, and the door was off the hinges and door handles removed," her mom told PEOPLE in August. "Bags, shoes and jewelry were taken too. Thank God she wasn't home."

A group of mostly teenagers have been arrested as part of an alleged burglary ring that targeted the homes of Hollywood stars.

However, the Titanic star is not ready for a relationship with the Mean Girls actress.

"Lindsay has a major crush on Leonardo but that's as far as it goes right now, Contactmusic quoted a source as saying.

The insider added: "She knows him, they are friends but that's it. Lindsay is ready to be more then friends with Leo but he doesn't see her that way.

She's says he's her perfect man but fears he doesn't take her seriously."

The beauty even reportedly flirted with Leonardo at a Hollywood party.

A source said: "As soon as Lindsay saw Leonardo she was like a bee to honey.

When she spotted him in a dark corner of the club she headed straight for him. She quickly monopolised his conversation and made sure she had him all to herself.

After the premiere and official afterparty, the New Moon stars and their pals headed over to Teddy's for more fun, but they weren't the only ones! Lindsay Lohan and her entourage rolled over to the Roosevelt around 12:30AM, and surprise surprise, her former flame Samantha Ronson was there too!
Rather than having a romantic evening that ended with a snuggly sleepover, it looks like Lindsay was insanely jealous that Samantha was hanging out with actor Kellan Lutz! Shortly after Lindsay arrived at the club, we spotted Sam giving Kellan a bear hug outside of the Roosevelt, and right after that Lindsay tweeted:

"Too bad I can catch someone in a lie when I heart voyeur ... s is with kellun hahahahahahaha ... so much for s not being "public" guess fame is better with premiere kids."

Uhh, jealous much Linds? And isn't going out to the clubs part of Sam's job? It's not like she's doing it to piss you off!
Lindsay and her pals left Teddy's around 3:30AM, at which point she checked in to the Beverly Hills Hotel. No word on whether or not she was hanging out in the bathroom...

Everyone knows that LiLo would empty a donation basket in her purse at Sunday mass, so I don't know why b*tches keep inviting her to events at their stores. That's just asking to be cleaned out.
Pop Tarts says that when LiLo was paid to attend the launch of Jermaine Dupri and jewelry designer Pascal Mouawad's watch line at Kitson, she wanted a whole lot more than just a complimentary glass of champagne. Apparently, Pascal already promised her *** $500 worth of Kitson merchandise. When she complained that it wasn't enough, he upped it to $1,000.
After Hurricane *****head blew through the store and grabbed a bunch of ****, her bill came to almost $15,000. LiLo simply said that Pascal would cover the entire amount, because she was the only celebrity who attended his event. A source added, “Pascal said no, so she went and started talking smack about him to Jermaine Dupri who doesn’t even know her. He was totally bewildered and couldn’t believe it. Eventually Pascal said she could have $2000 to spend but that was the absolutely limit.”
When Pascal refused to cover the full bill, LiLo told one of the Kitson employees that they should give her the rest of the **** for free, because she's always been a loyal customer. She promised she would let the paparazzi take pictures of her holding Kitson bags.
In the end, LiLo was told "NO," because the employees couldn't get a hold of the owner of Kitson. She stormed out with her $2,000 worth of crap.

After the New Moon premiere in LA last night, Kellan Lutz hit up the Roosevelt…with Samantha Ronson. Did she pay him back? Or is it an off week? I think it’s an off week. This week she and Lindsay are “off”. So Lindsay will have to settle her tab with Kellan on her own.

In case you missed it, a cracked out Lilo was at a bar last week and ordered more champagne than she could afford. So she sent the bill to Kellan who was partying with his own crew and had nothing to do with her.

And the broke *** chronicles continue.

Word is she agreed to attend a Kitson party last week to support Jermaine Dupri and like a Chinese squatter at the chicken market started bargaining about how much free sh-t she could take home, not satisfied with the initial offer of $500, eventually clawing her way up to $2,000 but significantly less than what she wanted which was $15,000.

Lilo and the enabling sycophants hanging off her weave argued it was her god given right to take home merchandise without paying because she’s a celebrity and she’s been a loyal customer.

All this of course in the midst of a family scandal as her father keeps releasing tape after tape exposing her for the wreck that she is. And while he’s a piece of sh-t famewhore and a sick b*tch of a father, I can’t say that if I were in her position that my mother wouldn’t do the same. To save my life she would do anything. She would have done it a long time ago. She would have handcuffed herself to my arm and refused to let go. When I was dating a loser who was destroying me, she once took a knife and threatened to stab herself at the front door begging me not to go with him. Drama, sure. But in her words, as a mother, you do what you need to do.

I’m not condoning Michael Lohan, he is inexcusable. But going to the extremes, humiliation as a last resort for redemption, if it was coming from another parent, I wouldn’t be criticising the motivation at all. The problem with Lindsay Lohan is that in her twisted way, she loves the humiliation for the attention. Yay for child stardom.

You know it’s bad when even People.com is even calling you out for sticky fingers.
