I was watching Harry Potter last night and ended up googling Emma Watson afterwards. It is SO hard to believe that she's only 4 years younger than Lindsay! And what a role model - she's going to college, she's happy that she got to "play a nerd" in the movies because girls growing up these days don't have many intelligent characters to emulate, she's the star of Burberry's campaign. She shuns the tabloids and the party scene and makes a point of hanging out with her school friends.

In my opinion Lindsay's a more talented actress than Emma Watson but it doesn't matter anymore how talented she is because it's so overshadowed by the drama.

^ Yeah, that is the really sad part- she is talented and was very beautiful...But I was just thinking: IF Lindsay got help and cleaned herself up starting today, got rid of all the toxic influences in her life (this is all far fetched, I admit...)- How long would it take before she was back on top, staring in movies and being the toast of the town on the red carpet and all...? I bet people would rally to her in a matter of months- people, especially Americans, love a big comeback story!! I only think Lindsay is hopeless right now due to the very real damage that has been done to her physically and mentally and by the fact that she has shown no ability to get the real, serious help she needs- not this disgraceful band aid 'rehab' stuff she has fooled herself into thinking is the answer...

I find the parallels between Anna and Lindsay interesting, they've been in the business for a similar period of time, but Anna won a damn oscar and has managed to maintain a really normal, level headed lifestyle. If Lindsay didn't think of herself as such a star she could be in the same position instead of sending desperate messages on the internet and taking photos of herself dressed in costumes for the show.

^ All true...I am just reading a bio of Paulette Goddard (mega beauty from old Hollywood days) and it impressed me how Lindsay is doing none of the things a young star does to get a good career going- networking, careful about their image, proving over and over that you can be counted on to be there and do a good job, exposing (or at least trying to) only the parts of your personal life and associations that put you in a positive light, working on your craft and showing directors and all that you are serious about your work, maintaining you looks and health...Lindsay does nothing in this regard and still expects to be (and evidently thinks she is) a big star!! Sadly, I think most of the interest in her these days is waiting for her to hit the wall again, kind of like the people who like auto racing just so they can see the big wrecks...Poor Lindsay- she just doesn't get how it all works...

yes her parents suck - her mom seems like she's loving feeling "young", her dad is an absolute douchebag, the people around her are probably not good influences at all.

but at the same time, a person's gotta take personal responsibility, and take OWNERSHIP of their own decisions and making something of their own lives. No one can do that for them.

It was her call - her career and life, even her looks go f-ck up. Which she did, and continues to do with her drama.

Dear Gossips,

Many people have been linked to Lindsay Lohan. She has that effect. If you’re famous enough, she’ll hunt you down until she can share the headline. These days however, those who are linked with Lilo feel so repulsed by the connection, real or rumoured, that they’d actually threaten to take legal action to prove it isn’t true.

Yesterday, the UK tabloids circulated a report that had Lilo and Spittle Gerry Butler leaving together at a party in Morocco, off to finish grinding each other privately. As noted in the original post, it’s not like the British rags get it right with frequency…but still, Spittle was so disgusted by even the suggestion, the mere whisper of a hook up with Lilo that according to Gossip Cop he is now considering “taking action” to refute the claims once and for all.

Spittle didn’t seem to mind when everyone repeatedly reported that he and Jennifer Aniston were nuzzling in New York and LA. But the minute someone starts a rumour that he went near Lilo’s crank ***, he starts spraying like a man enraged. Point: no one wants to be associated with Lindsay Lohan. But her mother keeps insisting she’ll be hired to direct a movie soon.

^ Charming...Let's see- then it's Dina's move? I lose track...Yes- Dina to issue a press release that Lindsay is 1) A young girl just having a good time, 2) Very talented, 3) Hard working, 4) A victim of a vicious smear campaign by..umm, someone..., and 5) Will be writing, producing, directing and starring in a major blockbuster any day now...a remake of Gone With The Wind, no doubt... All she has to do is finalize the $300 million in financing she needs...

I doubt she can ever have a comeback. There is a new generation of young actresses getting all the parts she would have been offered, and I don't see why those girls are suddenly going to be pushed aside to make way for a healthy Lindsay. She may be good at acting but so are others.

Lindsay Lohan is not seeking a restraining order against her father, a lawyer for the actress told Access Hollywood.
Lindsay’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, told Access on Monday that reports the star is filing a cease and desist letter or a restraining order against her dad, Michael Lohan, are “not true.”
“Lindsay has never contacted her attorney Shawn Chapman Holley about filing a restraining order against her father,” the lawyer said in a statement.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, on Friday, Lindsay hit her Twitter account to share her feelings over her father, who has been speaking out in the press, including making allegations his daughter has a problem with prescription pill use to Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos.
“My father is a lunatic&doesn’t even deserve such a title since he’s never been around in my life other than when he’d threaten me&my family,” she wrote on Friday.
Lindsay added that Michael’s recent actions have made her younger sister, Ali, 15, cry.
“He should be where he has always put himself after verbally abusing and physically abusing people all my life-behind bars. Its so sad to get a phone call from my baby sister just now asking, ‘why is daddy doing this?’ Through tears,” she wrote.
“He’s crossed the lines&hurt me&my family 4 the last time… So much for having a ‘dad’….. I’m going to spend some time with the ones that love me&i love now,” she added.
But while Lindsay does not have and is not currently planning to seek a restraining order against her dad, Dina Lohan, Lindsay’s mom, told Billy Bush for Access Hollywood and “The Billy Bush Show,” on Monday that Ali is going to seek one today against her father.
In addition, Dina told Billy that Michael may be about to release recordings he told Access Hollywood about last week against her wishes and those of their daughter, Lindsay.
Lindsay is heard hysterically crying out for help in the recordings, which Access Hollywood has heard. Dina can also be heard on the tapes expressing her concern that she doesn’t want Lindsay to go down a path similar to Heath Ledger.
