US Vogue September 2012 : Lady Gaga by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

Jennifer's figure is just wow, that shot really has some punch to it!

Where did the RuPaul cover and comments go?

^ I don't understand the wigs. Career women don't have blue or pink hair, at least I hope not. It feels like they just added the wigs with hopes that it would make a boring editorial a bit more interesting.

Why not though? If that is the case then why not start a movement to subvert that super conservative mentality in the workplace. Also, as much as I hate GaGa and her absolutely overrated sup-par music, I think she is actively bringing "out-there" fashion into mainstream America (I refuse to refer to her as avante-garde because she really truly is not). That is an applaudable feat. Perhaps this boundary pushing will one day lead to female CEOs with blue hair? ;)

The Mods had to remove it, due to copyright issues:

Moderators' Note

This thread has been restored. The copyright issue with the phptographers, Mert & Marcu, has been clarified. They only wanted one photoshopped image remvoved, since it iwas a change made to their work. Feel free to post unaltered images from Mert & Marcus.

Lady Gaga’s full cover spread for Vogue Magazine’s September issue.

I would have preferred to see Daphne Guinness, after all it's where Gaga get's all her fashion inspiration...unfortunately Daphne isn't mainstream enough to land a cover...and that red ribbon is HIDEOUS!

WHAT is that spread?! Did someone transcribe the entire piece from the magazine? There's no way that can be the layout

^Thats what I'm thinking as well. Theres no way that their art director would let this get published!

It can't be. The pages are unnumbered and watermarked.

Seriously, where is Daria?! The only model I'm truly thrilled about is Liu Wen.

Natalia must be the model that pose with the most actors/celebrities. Every year she has at least a feature with someone like that.

Karlie looks sensational in the group picture, she looks fabulous in that dress, so rich looking. Joan looks great too, don't know about anyone else but I have so gone off Arizona as a model.

I like that group shot of the four girls and I really think that if Anna continues to push them then we will have a new generation of supers, tho I don't think the industry is ready nor wants to have another group of real "supermodels." Though given Arizona's recent work, I don't see her being part of that "wanted" or "in-demand" group nor does Liu. That leaves only Joan and Karlie. I wish Anna would put the two of them on a cover with the label "Superstar Supermodels." Other than that, I think the issue is a bit underwhelming for such a big and important anniversary one. They could have done more with it, especially the editorials because frankly, we've seen them before... With that being said, I still have no doubt that it will be a success mainly because of the millions of "little monsters" who are just waiting to get their claws on anything that "Mother Monster's" face is on.

Only one shot, but I'm liking what I see in Natalie's editorial.

You are aware that Daphne Guinness was hardly the first person to wear insane-looking s***, right?

that and daphne use to wear "classy" clothing like Chanel couture until only a few years ago when she decided to start dressing like models in McQueen shows.

but to be back on topic, the idea behind the cover is great but the actual execution is severely lacking.
