US Vogue September 2012 : Lady Gaga by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

fixed for you :flower:

The Vogue 120 Portfolio

Can't wait to see all of the shots in this! Kind of surprised about Azealia Banks and A$AP, more him than her since she performed at the Met Gala party.

Florence's shot looks epic! I also like the shot with the supers (Karen, Stella and Claudia).

I'm so excited to see Karen's ed. by Klein. ^_^

Ohhh.. yikes. They really shouldn't have done the fold-out cover because now I can't help but feel like fashion and pop culture has gone down the toilet. Don't show me a classy, inspired image next to the Gaga one. It really strips away whatever is good about her cover.

Who is she?? Rooney? I have no idea that she does ballet?!

This type of grandiose picture that Vogue US seems to specialise in, like the one of Florence, is one of the reasons will i usually do not buy this mag. They make me shudder. By some sort of art everyone interesting that is featured in this mag becomes soulless. Horrible.

In another note i I'm really curious to see the Lindbergh ed, the preview photo is gorgeous.

A lot of the shots from the Vogue 120 Portfolio are up in HQ at vogue.com. Mario Testino's pictures of Chelsea Clinton as well.

I find the cover quite shocking. I have to give them that. Unexpected in the extreme. I don't even know what to say....

The banner is hideous. The color of the banner and Gaga's dress is awful. The dress looks like it's not fitted properly.

And yet I must like it because it's definitely new...

Gaga's cover aside, this is one blockbuster issue! The editorials are flawless!! El Dorado, Space Odessey (I imagine it had a MASSIVE budget), and The Custom Of The Country are probably the best stories I have seen this year from Vogue, or any other fashion magazine for that matter.

The rest of the issue is just as superb. Great content and they did a wonderful job of celebrating the 120 years of Vogue, and the fashion world since its launch. I wish I could get this every month :).

Amazing job Vogue!

I don't really get the banner. I feel like people's elitist notions to hate Lady Gaga because she's popular gets the better of them when forming an opinion about this cover. It's a great cover when you compare it to some of the tripe they've put out recently, at least it tries something new and does it quite well. I like that dress and her pose is great.

But whatever. I'm also not feeling Joan Smalls being white-washed. That is NOT her real skin-tone and everyone knows it. The styling on that ed is great though. Karlie's ed is way too repetitive.

The Vogue 120 is divine, and so good that everyone has a different favorite, personally I love the shot of Marie and Phoebe
