Versace F/W 08.09 Milan

this is a really exciting collection from Versace.
the fact that they have looked deeper into their work : print, texture and fabric, shape and design.
usually versace finds itself on repeat with the same shapes but in different colours and slightly different embellishments but this is really a fully worked collection.

Um first of all to say Versace is my favorite designer and always have been but I didn't lke the s/s collection at all.

And about this one there are some really nice pieces definitely, I have to look at it more and analyse it to really see what I like and what i don't but I surely don't like the printed colorful dresses it's honestly like wtf, but there are also some very elegant yet sexy ones!

And also I hate to say this, but I see mix of elements from many other designers such as Stella McCartney, Miu Miu, Gucci, Balenciaga & probably others,but anyways, in the end is whatever people like, they like it & whatever cells, cells...

And yes the runway is like the one from F/w 03.

Another thing I was surprised I didn't see flowy long fabulous hair, that I love but the girls still look gorgeous and my love Daria also being there
opening & closing it's F a n t a s t i c!

I love this collection! A lot. At first I didn't understand what everyone was flipping out over, but now having seen the whole collection I do love it. I'd probably wear every single piece!.

i love this collection,its sexy but not vulgar or trashy.I have a feeling if this collection was done by someone besides Versace a lot of peope who say they hate it ,would be in love with it.

And there are some ill-fitting outfits in there. Maryna's dress is really bad.

You know, I didn't get all of the hype until I looked at the complete collection. It's absolutely beautiful. The short dresses with the prints are a bit...much for me ( maybe I was just overwhelmed ) but besides that, it's incredible. Incredible fabrics, ideal silhouettes, and the colors! Oh my god! The colors are fantastic! Those pale-greyish blue gowns are fantastic! I do wish there were more coats seeing as it's fall/winter but oh well.

I have to say, a lot of the daywear looks great. Pretty much all of the black, ink and plum colored solid pieces are the best imo. The brights are a snore at this point, and the printed pieces do nothing for me at all.

The evening dresses aren't as good as they have been the last few seasons (shock!).

It's kind of foreign to say that.


All in all it's not as good as her last two fall collections have been, but it's better than most of what Milan has been showing, so kudos to her and her team for not completely blowing it. I'd say this collection helps maintain Donatella's position of improvement.

That gown on Vlada is so Oscar-worthy. Loove the hot pink shoes and there are some really interesting pieces, definitely a step in the right direction for Versace.

This was so unexpected for me, but I absolutely love it. Every single piece looks amazing. It's all so glamorous and chic at the same time. This is one of the best collections I have seen from Versace in awhile.

i was so looking forward to this collection, and i'm feeling a bit let down. i love about half, the other half i don't like, too spring. the hair and makeup is gorgeous though.

i have a feeling this collection will grow on me.
