Vogue Italia March 2014 : Saskia de Brauw by Steven Meisel

Would be much better if it didn't have her head sticking out forward/no neck angle

Ok... Saskia's a great model and all that but this cover is rediculous. She looks like Papa Shango or something.

This is so ANTM, lol.

Idk, it's different. Not sure how I feel about it.

I thought it's NatGeo magazine... The face painting is too distracted...

This is quite unexpected and I love it. Saskia really looks like a man in that shot. I mean, just look at her face.

Hopefully the main editorial will feature other girls and please, no newbies. Kidding.

I can't wait to see the entire editorial. I'm very excited!

I quite like it but a black model would have been better for this cover.

Me too, that video was epic! Saskia is such a great model to me, looking forward to entire ed, and seeing this in print! Imagine how glorious this cover will look at the newsstands!

Judging from the video, I think they might have picked the most uninteresting pic from the bunch for the cover. The sets with the deer antlers or the lion look very exciting. Still, it's an interesting cover with an even more interesting story in the pages. Definetly one that needs some digesting though. which is a good thing.

What an amazing model Saskia is! The interaction with the animals on the video is beautiful.
I really like this cover, finally something edgy from Vogue Italia, the editorial won´t be much different from the cover but it´s still a step up from the last plane months (excluding Julia´s issue).

What? Can you imagine the backlash VI would get if they covered a black model's face with that white paint?[/QUOTE]
-----------

Making it a non-issue is the ultimate sign of being adult about it.

Love the preview video and interaction with animals.Well done, Saskia.
They just picked the wrong shot for cover obviously.

I'm not so sure if I love this or if I hate it. Not really fond of the tension on her neck. There's something off with the positioning of her face. It's like she's forcing her head forward too much.

Amazing editorial video though!
