Vogue Paris April 2015 : Charlotte Casiraghi by Mario Testino

I don't like her at all, but that aside the cover itself still doesn't work for me. I don't like the angle and I want Vogue to be more daring, more out there, special, amazing, something,... not a girl in jeans :ninja:

Fashion magazine covers, are in such a weird place the moment, imo. I cant remember the last time i was blown away by a cover, or an issue!
This is so so very true, it's like they all stopped trying altogether, no one even bothers anymore.

As far as blocking people because of comments: ignore it or take it under consideration. But blocking people makes you look 10 years old and will make you even less likeable.

The internet makes it easy for even sensible people to behave in a petty way, and when that happens, it's a sign that a person needs to step back and review what they're really getting out of their social media interactions - and what message they want to send to the world.

Okay I am not always a fan of Vogue Paris, but at least Emmanuelle Alt tries to do something with this magazine. It has an identity, and she takes many risks in my opinion to create standout covers, either you like them or not. This one proves it once more : the pose and the styling are special, but unfortunately the result is not very good :/ the blurred effect at the right makes the whole thing look weird, and there are many awkward details. I admit I am disappointed by Vogue Paris, I didn't renew my subscription.

I do agree that she takes risks (2014 was a standout year to be quite honest). But with that said, what I want for her is to take a risk and stick with that risk. She went uphill during the March, April, June/July, August and September issues then fell back flat until Feb. Feb showed so much potential. It felt like it was her "return to form" cover and statement. I really wanted her to stick with that direction but she didn't. The March covers/issue were a standout visually but they're not superb and albeit flat. It just feels inconsistent to me. The thing with her is that she makes bold covers that leave us hoping that VP is "back", then she goes back to shove us with safe after safe after safe covers. Stick to that boldness.

Yes MON that's true. I truly lost faith with the Sophie Marceau orange cover. That was the worst thing ever. So compared to it, everything since then was more creative ^^

So weird that I thought this was that salad blogger girl and thinking "why is she on the cover of vogue?" Then I saw the Vogue Espana thread and I'm depressed by the current state of fashion and style icons.

this is very cool! i love the denim trend for this season

This cover looks so generic, it doesn't come across Vogue Paris, I'm not sure it's distinctive enough even come across as any Vogue. Not to mention I don't find Charlotte interesting at all. I'd rather have seen that woman listed in the corner, Léa Seydoux!!!!

But Vogue Paris has been into the 'denim trend' for the last four years. I'm honestly exhausted at this point.

BTW, this issue marks her fourth anniversary at the helm of the magazine.

I don't hate this cover, it's quite nice. But why the hell do I read Lea's name but don't see her gorgeous face? SHAME.

Very 80's style this cover, i'm so tired than Testino & M&M shot every cover star of this mag, i feel is like a torture.

Oh dear, this truly looks like the cover of a tv guide plugging a 90ies miniseries. Certainly not a fashion magazine, especially not Vogue Paris.

I think Vogue India did a better job with the 90s denim theme to be quite honest. Theirs had attitude and the over feel of the editorial is just beautiful and inspired. This to me feels lazy.

I don't like it. I'm tired of the white background. We got the dec/jan and the february issue like that already. And Testino? I could be happy but April 2014 was also Testino. Charlotte? This is so random.
The lack of originality in Vogue Paris is increasing. Sad.
