Vogue Paris December 2010/January 2011 : Daphne Groeneveld & Tom Ford by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

I am now evaluating the issue on... the issue void of any relation to Tom Ford, since the component I've been awaiting is apparently being run in Harper's Bazaar UK and not VP.

The issue is pure crap. The best part is Pu$$y West.

And as Miranda Priestly says so eloquently...

That's all.

I just can't believe that this is the much anticipated "Tom Ford's" issue we've all been waiting for months...this is puuuuuure crap, i only like Iris's ed, and just because she hardly looks like herself...

I think this issue lacks something...it's Mario Testino. M&M is not bad, but call me blind, Tom/Carine/Mario is the best.....:judge:

^ are you really sure you wish to see it?:yuk:

...anyway, please follow this link

The eds are so lackluster. But at least now I don't have to run around town looking for this issue.

^ thanks Pedro, i really don't get the appeal in that editorial, and mixing this ed with the kids editorial in the same magazine, it's just plain weird.:o
i would rather see those jewelleries showcased in a different way.
i think once again, people expectations for this were really high.:innocent:
i can't compare this issue to the Sofia Coppola/Kate Moss/Charlotte Gainsbourg guest-edited issues, those were perfect imo.

Forever Love is, perhaps, the worst editorial that I have ever seen. It's just so...gross. Ew.

All that I can say about Forever Love, is that it's about damn time that Tom Ford and Vogue Paris produced something that was fresh, provocative, controversial and... wait for it... wait for it... fashionable(!), all at the same time.

I think the kids ed is repulsive, they all look like those creepy american pageant girls and not simply kids dressing up.

But I really like the Forever story, I see nothing disgusting about it. I think it's brilliant.

I wish it was November rather than December issue, not a good end for a year.

Thank you for the Made In Presse link, but it doesn't work anymore!
Anyone have another?

Got the issue, fliped through it, and put it away without any desire to look any of the contents in it again! I thought he would edit an epic issue, like Coppola and Moss have done, they managed to really convery "themselves" in the pages, while Ford's effort leaves me cold, it doesnt seem well done at all.

Am i the only one who think Forever Love quite good ?

Not at all! I think it's the freshest ed in the whole damn thing. Why do others find it "disturbing" & "gross": because it involves old people ? That's waaaaay preferable to an ed with kids reclining on beds with feet arched in the air just so...Boy. Even writing that creeped me out .
