Vogue Paris March 2009 : Iris Strubegger by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

yeah it's indeed a ripoff ...
but i didn't have the Meisel cover ... so that's a nice gift ...

I dont really like the cover itself tbh, but Im very happy for the fact that Iris is on it anyway ^_^ Any info on eds yet ?

I completely agree. It looks really quite dull and boring. Awful actually.

But seriously looking at some other French Vogue covers this is a let down.
I totally agree. The cover is not bad, it's the kind of cover some Vogues around the world wouldn't be able to produce.
I don't like it, I think it's because the lipstick.

That's the first time I love Iris so much! I love the styling, Iris's red lips with the gold jewelry are amazing and the whole effect is simply perfect. I'm wondering how gorgeous Iris's editorial is going to be :woot:

^calm down it's not even out in France yet ....
it will be out next week i guess ....
so 2 weeks in UK maybe ....

I like it because it's a 2009 remake of the McMenamy look, it's an homage to the model herself as much as it's celebrating Chanel.

And it certainly doesn't do Iris any harm to get a March cover; I'm interested to see what the inside edit is like, as the cover is much better than I thought it would be.

its very nice but it looks like it has already been done and indeed it looks a lot like a meisel cover.

I like the fact that they didn't put tons of texts on the cover but then again its what Vogue Italy usualy does so I'd describe this cover like a vintage vogue italy cover revisited by Vogue Paris.

I can't wait for the review and the contents though.

and just a special off topic message: Vogue Paris should use Maryna Linchuk, and Id love to see her on a cover :D

Agreed! Iris really looks wonderful... IMO really strong yet also very feminine & hardly androgynous... at least not on the cover. And yeah... I do believe a woman can be strong & feminine at the same time.

i love it! my god i'm a sucker for chanel on a vogue paris cover.

i actually like this cover better than the original.
