Vogue Paris October 2010 : Lara Stone by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

This is definitely a memorable cover for Vogue Paris, Lara is now well known amongst VP readers and it was the perfect choise for this issue, really happy and a must buy for sure. Bravo!

I like the choice of Lara but Kate Moss would of been great too since she's always featured in the magazine way more than Lara.

Also... Why is Kate Moss always featured in the Zoom sections? She's like always there, every month, lol

I agree with you guys, no one could have done this better than Lara herself. I mean, look at her in the picture, she's working her thing.

Hope I can get this issue here in our country. *Fingers crossed*

This is such an iconic cover already! It's amazing.

Would you mind expanding on this a bit? I mean, I just don't see how it can be labeled as "iconic" just yet...

I agree 100%. What is relevant about the styling on this cover?
I believe the lack of styling was perhaps the best choice for the cover so as to keep it timeless. Other than the use of Lara, it doesn't necessarily seem bound by any time or decade, which I think is perfect for an anniversary cover.

The masquerade themed styling is completely relevant given the fact that Carine is throwing a giant masked ball in celebration of the 90th Anniversary.

I'm sick of people saying that this or that isn't fashion, we're all guilty of doing it, but honestly it is such a subjective argument. Whether or not something represents fashion for you personally if it is on the cover of arguably the most influential fashion magazine in the world it is fashion. Fashion is such a fluid and open ended term and I'm just over people putting restrictions on it. This image is more fashion oriented than some of the banal things I've seen on the runway this season.

This image is very strong, very memorable and destined to become iconic - love Lara's t*ts or hate em' they are here to stay.

I don't think I can really explain it in English, but let me try. I think the cover itself is very striking and unlike everything else we see on the newsstands these days. The cover has something very special, just can't see her face, but every model fan immediately know it's Lara. And I think therefore the cover will be remembered.

Ah yes, I had forgotten about the ball, it makes more sense.

I'm surprised at how people take things so seriously / personally on this thread. Everyone is not a die-hard fan of Lara, everyone doesn't like the cover and think it's epic. So what?;) It wouldn't be interesting if everyone had the same opinion on it.

^I noticed it too that some people, especially fans of Stone and Poly, do not accept criticism... often they take it as a personal attack, while it's simply a personal opinion!

already having a love/hate relationship with that cover...
but extremely well done VP...
