thanks for starting this thread acid.. funny how you noticed the models being thin. the models seem much thinner (what!? is it possible!?) i have noticed this year at all the castings.. however some aren't too thin and get away with it. i've seen cintia dicker a few times, and she isn't skeletal or very tall, but she still gets booked.. so i don't think it's that necessary for the models to be this thin! i've seen some emaciated-looking girls..

IMO, I think there might be a wave of asian models because they are VERY doll like... and the doll look is most likely going to stick around for a while

Fionn is doing quite well in first NY fashionweek so far.. (Kenneth Cole, Perry Ellis, DKNY, and Hilfiger)

What I noticed is that there are 'a lot' of Asian girls this season. Never have I seen so many Asian girls on the NY runyways after only 2 days of shows. I saw:

Anne (with the mistery last name)
Du Juan (my personal favourite)
Liu Dan
Hye Park

Theres also Song and I guess you can somewhat put Julianna Imai there as well since she is half japanese.

Models.com also mentioned an Ashley from Wilhelmina as ones to watch out for.

And if you include Ai, that'll be 8 asian models on the runway! WOW.

Alot of the models don't realize you can fit into sample sizes without starving yourself. Look at Naomi, Liliane F., Polina K. These are all healthy looking women, who have great bodies and easily fit the size 4 clothes.
