Who Will Sweep Up the Fall/Winter 2018 Shows?

Dang, Milan was quite a grim reminder. Sora Choi does lead the city as I expected but I'm pretty sure none of the mainstream media will celebrate her or something and instead crowning it to... well, you know. :(

We're in for the final ride, guys.

I miss the days when girls did 60-70 shows.
I don't know if anyone will hit 50 this season.

But I love the fact that 3 out of the top 5 walkers are models of color.

There was a time where top models walked between 80 and 100 shows including fashion weeks outside of the big 4. These girls worked their ***es off, numb toes and all. I remember Gisele, then Natalia, then Freja opening and closing 12+ shows. It was mad but truly outstanding.

But if that happens today, people will still complain that they're tired of seeing the same faces over and over again. I actually like the fact that we don't get models who walk for everything anymore. It gives more time for others to shine.

Not sure about hitting the 50 mark. Based on the last season the most shows possible a model can walk in Paris would probably be 18 (and that was Fran Summers' number). We might be hitting 40s at most.

Brands come and go, not to mention model castings become the factor.

While it seems a shame not to see girls dominate in terms of runway numbers like they used to, I think there is maybe a benefit in walking less shows. It must be incredibly stressful and exhausting to cast for and walk 70 shows, and given the recent state of the industry model health is thankfully a very relevant topic. I think quality rather than quantity should be the main focus.

As promised, the rankings for NY and London, based on the current count (in which I reached Jasper Conran atm and already put S/S showllsts including Ralph Lauren and Burberry), plus the current totals and Top Shows. I need to find motivation in this since certain models and a certain thought of mine have been a fatal combo lately.

Will things even change as Milan goes by? Find out on the next episode of Dragon Ball Z!

Seriously, who even are these people. This forum used to be my home and now I can't be bothered keeping up with any of this, because every single season the names all seem completely different.

I'm surprised Sarah Brannon isn't on any list. She walked many top shows in New York and Milan

The days of Kassia, Magda & familly.

I think it is not something to complain about. It shows how diverse and somehow "risqué" casting becomes these days. I would never have pictured Fendi having such a "coloured" casting a day or to see so many different profile on a runway.

Technically Fran might be in pole position but Adut snatched that crown two already cities ago.

And we finally leave another runway season in peace! God, what a trial for the past one month, certain things tested me and my motivation, but in the end I survived. Probably the last one for me before the best part: the complete Excel spreadsheet release! :D

I believe her 43rd show is Narciso Rodriguez, which models.com has called a lookbook. And I think she closed the show.

Fixed that one up! I'm double-checking everything now to make sure there are no double names due to missing accents and stuff. Thank you!

Can't believe I missed this, MDC has compiled their top newcomers yesterday

1st Season
Alina Bolotina
Anyelina Rosa
Eduarda Bretas
Eniola Abioro
Evelyn Nagy
Fatou Jobe
Giselle Norman
Jiali Zhao

Assa Baradji
Chunjie Liu
Demy de Vries
Dipti Sharma

Fun fact: among these models, Liu Chunjie actually did the most shows and the most Top Shows (based on MDC's list), Demy de Vries opened the most shows with 3, and about three of them closing the most shows with 2 shows: Akiima, Anniek (who both did 22 shows, the most among this category), and Remington (she has the most Top Shows walked with 12, out of her 18 shows). Emma Poilblanc has the best ratio of bookings between all the shows and the Top Shows (11 Top Shows out of 12), although Giselle Norman's bookings of 11/10 actually has an edge as she opened J.W.Anderson.

All that's left is waiting for Vogue's list and the Excel spreadsheet will finally be released!
