Who Will Sweep Up the Fall 2015 Shows?

^I agree, unfortunately. I think she's finally has wooed enough people in the industry to finally take her seriously with Karl and Marc using her in their campaigns, doing shows like Ports and Donna Karan, etc. It'll be interesting to see if shows like Prada, Miu Miu, or Lanvin take her though.

Lanvin cast Cara already, and don't forget that Edie is one of his muses. Wouldn't be surprised if that happened. Don't think Prada, Miu Miu and Dior will ever though.

Raf Simons seems obsessed with Kimye so I expect to see KJ at Dior.

Alexandra Hochgürtel, Inga Dezhina, Dylan Xue, Sarah Brannon, Stella Lucia, Damaris Goddrie, Antonia Wilson, Luping Wang, Aleksandra Dyldina, Bhumika Arora, Sora Choi, Maria Keidj, Michelle Meinert, Lululeika Ravn Liep, Elisabeth Faber, Laura Hagested imo (i dont know about any of their exclusive contract ending dates lol)

I'm most excited for:
Morta Kontrimaite
Bhumika Arora
Lina Berg
Katya Grigoreva
Blanca padiallya
Carolin Loosen
Julia Hafstrom

Taylor Hill, Kate G, Annika Krijt, Aneta Pajak, Namara van Kleeff, and Stella Lucia

I remain optimistically doubtful re: Kendall sweeping any runway season.

Despite the image of being a regular model that her team is trying to make happen, she probably charges an arm and a leg to appear in the shows that she books. She doesn't have to make a name for herself doing 30 shows because she already came in with one and it's her biggest draw. Very much the celeb-model. She won't be ~everywhere~, but she'll be at a handful of A-list shows like always. Marc and Karl aren't trendsetters in that others will follow suit in booking the models that they favour and the shows that she walked that didn't involve Katie Grand or Kimye's friends aren't enough to convince me that many others are really that interested.

I think that if she really wanted to be a regular model, we'd see her at those relatively smaller shows and her team would have taken a different approach with her career. And surely if she could walk for every blue-chip show (which I think is closer to the direction she/her team want*), then she would but not everyone's biting. So she'll walk the same handful of shows and they'll just call it being selective.

I don't see Proenza Schouler, Alexander Wang, Céline, Balenciaga, Calvin Klein, Jil Sander, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Miu Miu, etc. in her future and that's a fairly long list of major shows to miss out for an "in-demand" model. Valentino and Versace could happen, they've booked Cara before. Jury's still out on Gucci and Dior, they would have been definite no's until recently. If the former are looking to breathe new life into the brand via publicity/gimmicks then it could happen and  @ Raf… it'll just be another job she books because someone is infatuated with her family.

*This may be what a lot of models want, but they usually don't get especially when they don't have an advantage based on family connections, large social media following, etc. Nor can most models shape their careers this way without a series of lucky breaks.

Lexi, Anna and Binx are here to slay for the nest few seasons. Ine Neefs, Vanessa Moody, Julia Bergshoeff, and Alexandra Elizabeth will also be on the runways for many years to come, I think. I'm not so sure about Natalie Westling, I could see her showlist dwindling, but the Prada menswear spot is nothing to forget.

Grace Hartzel's career trajectory is so interesting and impressive to me... She's been doing HF since the S/S 13 season but only last season was embraced by Prada in a big way, which is so unusual considering Miuccia is so selective and loves to be there at the very beginning, rather than hop on them in hindsight. I hope she snags more of the key shows she hasn't yet (Lanvin, Céline, Alexander Wang).

And I really, really hope Ayo Jones has a great season, but we know stupidly unfair this industry is to models of color. I hope the Marc Jacobs contract and the Prada/Dior backing insure a strong showing for her. She deserves it. I also hope Grace Mahary bounces back after her disappointing last season. The Givenchy menswear and Chanel HC make me optimistic.

And I thought Caroline Schursch looked amazing at Saint Laurent, a great potential breakthrough for her, but I don't know if anyone else will bite. It would be great if someone like Karl would recognize her and give her some momentum, even if she ends up having a brief moment like Stef Van Der Laan.

I'm just so excited to see what Mia Gruenwald's season will look like: She'd already walked for Prada and was an exclusive for Miu Miu, the only thing that might hurt her career would be her height :smile:rolleyes:smile: but if it's worked for Julia Hafstrom.. :lucky:

I wonder if Maria Veranen might not be a little too baby-faced, some goes for Mia.

^ It appears Maria is in NY maybe walking this season? I get the feeling she has a strong backing. Constant work with people in the industry and signed to The Society could benefit her. But you never know.

Well, let's be honest, she is just another Esther Heesch(very very young and sweet looking girl who is somehow booking big shows which aesthetic she doesn't suit at all),no one will remember her name in a year.

There was a lot of those at Valentino HC, and its such a shame. So many girls who are super beautiful but all look the same, only white and like they're twelve still. They get their hopes up and perhaps do well for one season and are forgotten afterwards.

So many special models did like two shows because there are so many new ones now. Not only the bland ones are forgotten, but the great ones as well.
There are so many models of color and already established models who would be a much better choice.

I wonder if Charlene Högger will even try this season after her disappointing last season. I want her to be everywhere, but sadly I don't think it's gonna happen.

Also excited about Carolin Loosen, she has scored zero print work over the last few months, I wonder if this will affect her runway bookings.

I felt the exact same thing about Ava Smith and Katya Riabinkina last season. :( Get ready to be dissapointed.

Morta Kontrimaite had wonderful first s/s 2015 season as a newbie. I hope this season she will be everywhere. Morta is such beauty, she is like fairy. Also Kristina Petrosiute had good s/s 2015 season, she done quite good at couture week so I also hope she will get a lot of attention.

I still hope that beauties like Camilla Christensen, Marnie Harris, Marthe Wiggers and Kristine Froseth finally make their spectaculair debut!!

I would love to see Camilla Christensen too, but I think she has the same problem as Josephine Skriver, being called to pretty for the runway. But maybe after the return of Gemma, it may be possible!

Kristine Froseth too, she is so beautiful, and just quirky enough to fit the runway aesthetic. Her problem is height though, but I think her face should make up for it and then some!

^Gemma never had the problem of being too pretty, she was part of the babydoll, chuberic girls that was a huge phase back in the early 2000s.I think Camilla has sort of that look too, so maybe she will start to be featured more too.

The new girls I wouldn't mind to see a lot during fw: Aneta Pajak, Annika Krijt, Jing Wen, Tako Natsvlishvili... Carolin Loosen's career has been pretty odd so far, since 2010 she usually appears at some major shows yet still never got any significant print work or campaign... I also hope that Charlene Högger will have a good season if she decides to walk, she's really stunning. Though I've learned not to have high expectations because being a top newcomer nowadays doesn't mean that the first season won't be your last. :(

Sophia Ahrens, Hedvig Palm, Romy Schönberger, Astrid Holler, Inga Dezhina, Adrienne Jüliger, Aya Jones, Vanessa Moody, Anna Grostina, Damaris Goddrie, Namara van Kleeff etc.

Fingers crossed for Alécia Morais to do well and I hope to see Polina Oganicheva make her debut, but I'm not sure if she has international representation yet.

I want to see Irina Sharipova and Kate Grigorieva sweep this season up.
